CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I live in central Florida (polk county). The eye of Hurricanes Charley and Frances BOTH went right over my area and left things pretty messed up. Everyone here is emotionally drained. I don't know what another hurricane would do to us, but I really don't want to find out either. Please pray for us. The latest forecast showed Hurricane Ivan going more up the western coast of Florida which is better news for us in central Florida, but bad news for the panhandle. I'm hoping our state-of-the-arts weather and space technology and our modern day sciences will get back to primitive cultural spiritual weather studies again...We, in faith.... need to bridge the spiritual/ cultural knowledge of the early primitive farming cultures with the modern day class room science and technology...and questions....People should be asking more questions about faith, and spiritual insight with scientific insight, concerning group or elite prayer team players and/or possibly elite storm chasing teams in prayer---with these winds coming up this year out of the South...There was a movie out called the "Windtalkers"...those are the lines I'm thinking out about elite teamplayers and trust in God about the weather...Maybe winds can change direction in faith and trust in the power of the Spirit of God...by elite team players in prayer...
We had a time of it ourselves, when Isabel came around the Chesapeake Baylast year and totally surprised us in the darkest hours of the night with a 12 foot tidal surge---devasting many homes with water damage over 3 feet deep in all the houses all along the many shores of the Chesapeake waterways...
I hate to say this Photini..Where are the Storm Chasers---these guys (the Riders of the Storm--- Storm ghostriders? storm ghostdancers?) that include active roadside prayers in their services...(?)
