  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Spike was a rejected romantic dork at heart. He may have been all big and bad with a chip on his shoulder (and in is head...) at times, but deep down, he was still the nerdy William that Cecily rejected, and he hated that.

So true ---William the Bloody that is why he spent his last day on Angel in the club reading poetry. I thought that was great!

When the recent FX reruns were showing the Glory episodes, I hadnt noticed some of the names that they minnions called her, they were hysterical, anyone remeber any?

Also, his last week was the episode where helf....ok the other vengance demon friend of Enya, trapped everyone in the house granting Dawns wish, that moment between she and spike, was funny, because she had rejected him before he was vampy

Today FX is running the two eps. The Bewitched,Bothered, and Bewildered. Where Xander gets Amy to cast a love spell on him (season 2) and Wild at Heart. Where Oz hooks up with wolfgirl(season 4). It seems they are on the valentines love gone bad theme.

I always forget how funny the BBB one is until I watch it again.

Buffy was good but it went down hill after Oz left and Willow became a lesbian. Oz was the best character and Willow just got weird. I have watched almost all of the episodes in reruns. The later seasons are pretty lame. Really I did not like the Glory plot line or season 6 much at all. Dawn is pretty much useless as a character and so is Willow's girlfriend. Anya is okay. the problem with Buffy is that all of the best characters either changed (Willow, Xander, Spike) or left the show (Angel, Oz, Cordelia). Oh and that whole army thing got really old also. I think that was where Buffy started to decline.

I agree exactly. Though I didn't mind Willow getting 'weirder', I did miss Oz. I hated Glory and Dawn just got on my nerves with her selfish moaning and crying. Anya provided some comic relief here and there, but not much else use for her.

I always thought the whole "Willow turning gay" Thing was a bit forced in my opinion, but I don't want this thread turning into a debate about that. All in all though, I liked how the characters evolved and changed... when it didn't seem overtly made or forced to happen.

I disliked Dawn overall... the concept was good for her reason of being there, but they just messed up with the character's development, I thought.

I liked the Glory storyline... not as much as the Mayor, but I liked it. Overall, the characters were developed well... but Dawn coulda used more work.

I liked Anya. She was a good character and she kind of gave the show something it lacked after Cordelia left. Not that they were exactly the same character at all but they filled much the same role.

I liked how they changed at first but after awhile I thought the changes were negative. I did not like the direction they took Willow. She was one of my favorite characters at first but one of my least in later seasons. It might have something to do with the gay thing but that is not all of it.
