I love that movie. I thought Morgan Freeman did a great job as God. He portrayed God as someone who wants to be your buddy, your pal. Someone you can approach.

I thought that too. Usually in movies people portray God as a guy who just wants to use you and boss people around. But in this film it made God look much better.
And by the way... They also made a great point that God has great fassion sence!

It's a genius movie - well created and designed - doesn't mock religion at all and as has already been said - mock's man even more! which reminds me, i must watch it again sometime!

Well, I hesitate to judge it, because I haven't seen it; but the trailer did offend me. I know it is only meant to be a joke, but the idea that any mortal could handle the awesome power and responsibilities of God is insulting to me. Then again... maybe I just take things too seriously.

If you saw it you would think otherwise! Obviously, as Carey is the main actor, it is a hilarious comedy - not meant to be offensive at all...i suggest that you watch it!

Jim Carrey is hilarious!
This is Carrey's best film - awesome acting.
I thought it handled the subject delicately,

Other than that, the film was actually inspiring, unlike most films today.

true true, the psalms get pretty heated sometimes! God is big enough for us to yell at but don't be suprised if He pulls a Job chap 33 and puts us in our place

I remember cringing when Bruce was yelling at God. But I do think it ended with a great message.....

Yelling at God is Biblical. God is Big Enough For my Anger and my problems. God Knows We are Only Human; and is Able to Handle my issues. i Think the Whole "being angry at God" thing is Taboo nowadays at Church, Which i Dont Agree With. while no, its Not Healthy to be Angry at God ALL The Time, i Think God Appreciates Our Honesty; over Being Fake

I did not even see the movie, just seeing the trailers was enough for me. We as christians must becareful what we consider humor or disrespectful of God.

Watching the trailers, I was offended.. Then my mom rented it. When I watched it, I loved it. It is about a man, Carey, that is trying to understand why all this bad stuff is happening to him. He blames God and then has a face to face encounter with God and is given the same powers God has in a challenge to "do it better than I can." Carey sees life through the eyes of God... he understands things better and in the end has a real relationship with God.

It is a GREAT movie... I am awaiting the sequel.

Yes, this movie is does not insult christianity at all, but it has a good message behind it. This is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen, I loved it. Just think about it.

When Bruse was talking to God in that bad way, i wanted to leave...but, i couldn't leave because my parents and bro wanted to see it, so... i stayed and found it it was good...at somepoints!

While I dont entirely agree with the idea of a man trading places with God it was a rather unique chance to see what someone might do if it was possible.

although there were a few scenes that i found to be vile and very offensive (if you've seen it you know what i am talking about) I did think that the over all message of the movie wasn't bad In fact I think that sinners did a better job at explaining the concept of free will better than we christians do!!
