  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

At least she has a shread of respinsibility by giving up her career to take care of her family. Unlike that 80's 'diva' who kissed her during an awards show. What was her name again? I forgot it back in 1990. :)

I don't really like Britney, but I've gotta give her props for giving up her career to raise her child. :) So maybe she's not as bad as I thought.

I don't say this just because it's Britney, but ANYONE'S priorities should change with the birth of a child. In that respect, I think she made a good choice, but it's hard to give props to someone for something they SHOULD do anyway.

Britney is a talentless media-fed girl with a nice face (if covered with makeup) and nice breasts. That's the only reason she's famous. The media are able to let you listen to anything they want. If she had to sing without any effects and production, I'm afraid it would end up disastrous. Hell, the stuff she sings isn't even technically hard! I know singers in black metal bands that sing stuff that takes more talent than this (Ihsahn from Emperor has a great operatic voice), and black metal isn't even about singing.
Besides, any music that consists of nothing but boring repeated parts, and doesn't require instrumental or compositorial skill to make, isn't worth listening to.

True but she could have just as easily decided to continue her career and leave her child with nannies. She had a decision to make and it could have just as easily gone the other way.

Yeah, but c'mon, it's not like she gave up her career years ago. It's been what, all of 6 months?

Heck if I know. I do not pay attention to Britney Spears...or any artist for that matter. :) I have no idea how long she's been out.

So women can't have children and have a career too? I think not.

I'm not saying that at ALL. But the life of a pop star is different than the life of a mother who also works to help support her family. Unless your 9-5 job takes you across the country, away from your children. Otherwise, different scenario altogether.

I don't like artists. I like music. Some of Britney's music is really quite good IMO. In fact, just earlier today I went searching through my music list because I felt like listening to some Britney. Unfortunately, I deleted all her stuff when I went through a ... phase ... not too long ago. But I'm intending on finding it again! :)
