Came across this interesting little offering from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
So, what do you think: would you allow your 14 yo daughter to gaze at a naked man, or let your son carefully look over a naked woman?2008 - 2009 Pre-College Saturday School

Appropriate offering for kids this age or not?
I took a few in college, and while the men didn't attract me, one of the women was quite attractive in a cute way.[serious];52238985 said:if you've ever taken a class that utilized nude models, you would realize that it is not a sexual situation. In general it's people you would rather not see naked.
Folks, I was a fine art student. I'm no prude; however, I would totally question a naive opinion that Life Drawing class is a respectful environment, as I would question the use of human cadavers in an 8th grade biology class for dissection.
The vast majority of such students will never be doctors or nurses and human body parts would end up in someone's locker or desk.
I heard the jokes regarding a model's ski slope breasts or a hairy ape man's poker. This was in a college setting. Sorry, but I feel that there are far better ways to introduce young boys & girls to drawing...
Am I really expected to suppose they hadn´t done that already? So, what do you think: would you allow your 14 yo daughter to gaze at a naked man, or let your son carefully look over a naked woman?
Why sure.Appropriate offering for kids this age or not?

And yes, I would be completely comfortable with any child of any age being in such an art class.

Are you not someone who thinks sex should only happen with the intent of procreation? Sorry LN, but I think you are the very definition of a prude.
I feel that between two married people, sex can happen at anytime ------ with the understanding that a baby may happen.
Others believe in abortion, the pill, or insist that they can marry "gay." My guess is "prude" is better.
And sterile people and post-menopausal women shouldn't have sex either, right?I feel that between two married people, sex can happen at anytime ------ with the understanding that a baby may happen.

I don't know if this has been covered because I haven't read through the thread yet but for those who support this or approve of it, would you allow your 14 year old to be the model? If not why the change?
