  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok, brace yourself... this might be too much info but I was wondering, have any of you have bowel problems... I'm not talking constipation because I know that's normal but where you have to go A LOT!

Usually I need to go once a day, sometimes twice, sometimes not at all.... ok, normal and healthy for me, but during this past week it seems that I'm having to sit on the pot almost all day long. I did have diarrhea once today, but otherwise it's just a normal bowel movement, one that takes a while...... I'd been eating pretty healthy and drinking a lot of water... but it's like my bowels just won't relax... so like a man I have to sit with my reading material and after I'm sitting, reading and relaxing... things down there start to relax then I finally have a normal movement..... but I've been having to do this about 5 times per day.

I wonder if it's the flu virus my baby has.... I'm not having flu symptoms... but the other thought is that I remember reading once that sometimes the bowel movements increase before labor as a natural way of the body preparing for labor. Now I've still got a couple months to go so I'm not near my due date... but I have been wondering if the pregnancy has anything to do with it. Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

It's a pain in the bu t t... literally:D

I started having that same problem months before I had my twins. My l&d nurse told me I had been preparing myself for labor, like you said, and sure enough, I didn't poop after I delivery. I'm kind of worried because now I'm 37 weeks and haven't had any of that start to happen yet, so I hope that doesn't mean she's going to stay in here forever.

Yeah I do off and on. Some days are better than others. I figured it was probably normal and a lot better than being constipated. My rule of thumbs is if it isn't accompanied by excess vomiting, high fever, bleeding or contractions I'm fine.

Well Rainbow bright, if you makes you feel any better... I didn't have this problem with my first 3... maybe some constipation...

It is better then constipation but I have to tell you girls, during pregnancy I have hemorroids flair up and all this pooping has been aggravating the issue :) Thank God for hemorroid gel! I've decided that will be a present I give at baby showers :)
