Boundaries

Exodus 20:1-3

And God spoke all these words, saying: I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

Some people complain that the Bible is nothing but a book of rules and regulations. In reality, the rules God gives are what really allows for freedom. The rules aren't really rules at all. They're boundaries. These Ten Commandments provide very important boundaries that form the basis for a safe society. A boundary is a line drawn between what is yours and what is your neighbor's. When God sets boundaries, he is doing so for our own good. God uses boundaries so that Christians can be safe and happy with one another. Boundaries promote love, define what is our responsibility and what is not, and protect our freedom.

Boundaries not only help Christians understand their relationship with God, but they also define our relationship with God, but they also define our relationship and responsibilities to one another. They prevent dangerous habits and lifestyles.

How do we set good boundaries?

We need to read God's Word. From His Word we can discover where we should draw our personal boundary lines in all areas of our lives. When we have those lines in place and stand firm within them, then we are truly free....

Are You Truly Free?

God Bless You
