I think it's likely correct, actually. But my saying this only comes after considering relevant applications of Hermeneutics that go into understanding what Paul is insinuating about Biblical/Spiritual epistemology.

It should go without saying that Paul is contrasting Biblical epistemology, which pertains to the having of Christian faith, with both the expectations of his fellow Jews and with the philosophy based epistemology prevalent among the ancient Greeks.

Obviously, we're not going to use biblical epistemology to do today's science. This also should go without saying.
