They’re at least a couple of hundred Americans who need to get out. The lawyer is very concerned that they are going to die from starvation or dehydration or rocket strikes. He has managed to help some escape, but not all by any means.
One tragedy is that sometimes one person in the family may be in American and be entitled to leave, like a mother. But then maybe her children are not American citizens and so they are not entitled to leave.
At least one mother has said that she’s not leaving without her children.
