not even if the person was here before the attack or was legal or not?NY Post claims it was a Saudi national. No other news source has said this though.
But two is still probably FAR fewer than one would even intend to kill with those kind of motives.Unless their goal was to kill as many as the could, so they could spread their message.

There were not but less than fifty people that that could apply to compare that to some other attacks in the past and it is safe to say that if their goal was to have an attack anywhere near that stale they failed.Other people could die late, you know? Loss of blood, infection, complications, etc.
Well maybe not, but still they probably could have done more ( thankfully they did not) to kill more people either by planting more or planting them in different places.
Although larger also might have been more effective with such motives, as well.Depends on the person's means also by making something bigger you increase the risk of discovery.
Well then no matter why they did not kill many people still does not matter if that was their goal. Now if their goal was just to kill people any number of people or to make a point they were successful on both counts. You do realize they do not have infinite resources don't you?
They placed devices where they could, where they saw gaps in security, not where some detailed analysis indicated maximum casualties.

Authorities have confirmed to The Post that they have identified a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing.
The suspect a Saudi national who suffered shrapnel wounds in today's blast is currently being guarded in a Boston hospital.
A law enforcement source confirmed to The Post that 12 people were killed and nearly 50 were injured in today's blast.
Where?2 additional unexploded IED reported on BBC news
so would the person have known that? That would indicate a short fuse of some kind. Trigger it and try to get far enough away.
That could also answer some of the "why nots?" when it comes to timing. Bomb places immediately before detonation, timing might not be possible for maximum damage.
Where?
In that case, I wonder if anyone was actually looking for them?Nothing specific, just reported on the video feed on the BBC online service.

That also may be why not many died because many people had packages, yet they were not planted.Erm yeah I'd imagine the police are going to be looking at every package at the moment. One police official mentioned that when people ran off because of the explosions lots dropped bags etc... The military/police will look at all of them in case it's a bomb.
