I think you do make yourself clear. The "trouble" is with definitions and how people define certain words and what it means to them. I had the same thing happening to me with a different word, attribute.Silver Speak said:I do not want problems, I want someone who acts less holy and more human. Not that I'm saying "I hope they sin more".. I'm not sure how to say what I want to say. 'Edgy' would be the word, yup, but it gets misinterpreted. 'Different' works too.
After several discussions and people telling me what that word really means and what I can expect from someone with this attribute, I had to rename it to make myself clear. If I ever used the new name (when I got myself in a position where I was listing desirable attributes or what I am looking for), it ended up in even more discussions and people trying to talk me out of it, warning me etc. etc. It's okay with me, I don't mind debates and discussions.
But, here is the good news. Some people will understand what you mean. Some will get your private definition of a word, attribute and what it means to and why.

It's like saying, if you listen to punk, you're into drugs.
