Anyone's thoughts on an audio Bible? I am listening to it now and I think that it would me super amazing to listen to it whilst I am sleeping.
Who wouldn't agree with that, eh? Absolutely.Tell your Father.
(In other words, now may be time to upgrade from the "milk" of the canon to the "meat" of a direct conversational/educational relationship with our Father through the Holy Spirit.)
The Word of God is a Living Entity. He was crucified and died for the remission of sins - resurrecting to Life. The Word of God is not in any book, and cannot be contained in any book. The Word of God is written on your heart as per the new covenant. So, if you are bored with reading the canon, it may be time to talk to your Father as a primary form of relationship.

Hi, I understand how important it is to read scripture everyday but I am beginning to fear that I am growing tired of reading it. It feels kind of boring and repetitive and I really hate to feel that way about it.
Any advice?
Sometimes I'll accompany reading the Bible with a Bible commentary. Matthew Henry or John Gil are popular and very insightful.Ah Fantastic! I did not think of taking an online course!
Great suggestion. There's Strong's Concordance, Vine's Expository Dictionary, or The Interpreter's Bible. There are books you can buy that will tell you the root word meaning, in the original languages of the Bible. I don't know the name of the book off the top of my head but someone I know bought one. It might make it more interesting.
Thank you for the titles! I couldn't for the life of me remember the book.Great suggestion. There's Strong's Concordance, Vine's Expository Dictionary, or The Interpreter's Bible.

Bored of the Bible, not God.The better you know God, and the more you love Him, the more exciting and satisfying His word will be to you. Your boredom with the Bible is indicative of boredom with your Maker.
Where are you reading at? Pray He gives you a stronger desire to read.Hi, I understand how important it is to read scripture everyday but I am beginning to fear that I am growing tired of reading it. It feels kind of boring and repetitive and I really hate to feel that way about it.

Be gripped by what it says! Revelation 21 and 21 are remarkable. John's First Epistles has searing themes that illuminate lethargic hearts. Romans 8 is written in tremendous language. The Psalms contain so many cries from the heart. Isaiah 53 contains such clear views of the sufferings of the Lord Jesus at the Cross.Bored of the Bible, not God.
