Did anybody see this show while it was on the air? I got to see one episode and immediately fell in love with it. I haven't seen anything this clever on TV since Wonderfalls. Anybody have any information on whether it will be released on DVD or aired on other networks? Or anybody who has seen it, what did you think?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I saw an episode while it was on and didn't think it was too bad.
There were 8 episodes filmed before the show was cancelled due to low ratings and little advertising (due mostly to the fact that people protested the show without seeing it and lobbying from two conservative christian groups, that are obvious insecure enough to think that television has the power to twart the plans of their god).
Whether or not it goes to DVD is anyones guess. If NBC thinks there's enough of a following, they might release it. Fox released the Tick on DVD and that only had 9 episodes, so there is a chance the Book of Daniel could make it out too.

Wonderfalls was way more fun. I thought Book of Daniel was boring personally ....

The Book of Daniel was bad TV. The uproar gave it more publicity than it would have gotten otherwise & people still didn't watch.

I didn't think it made a mockery of Christianity.. and I'm always annoyed at those silly boycotts from organizations that mis-inform their followers about the content of something to get them to protest it.. but the show was just boring..... it tried too hard to be "different" and ended up just being a really bad night time soap. Maybe it got better in a couple more episodes.. but I fell asleep on the first one...
