So I guess that the question needs to be raised. Does the shofar have any intrinsic "magical" power like some sort of amulet or talisman, or is it just symbolic? Can a shofar deepen your spiritual life or bring you closer to God?

on a serious note - I have seen the shofar, along with other Jewish symbols, used as some kind of "prophetically" wired instrument that is "anointed" and triggers a "word from the Lord" or can be used to cast out demons from people or cities, stop war activity, heal, and bring forth manifestations of the spirit, signs and wonders, etc.

it sortta makes one wonder how God ever did anything without this kind of 3 ring circus, cause all this clowning around is making God out to be some kind of Ring Master that has power allotted to Him by a bunch of buffoons
