Yeah. I'm really sorry that context and a bigger picture was hard for you to hear. Not sure those who had their businesses destroyed and burned down really care to hear this. Or the people drug out of cars and beaten. Or shot in Portland.
How do you know my questions had no impact on them? For some reason your assertion doesn't seem to be having much impact on them. Any ideas why?
Yeah. I'm really sorry that context and a bigger picture was hard for you to hear.
No, I mean you must have been disappointed to hear that only 93% of protests were violent. It's not really. I lump peaceful and violent into two quite separate and distinct categories. Marxism has historically used vandalism, destruction, and violence to kick off political revolutions. Why should we think this is any different?
No, I mean you must have been disappointed to hear that only 93% of protests were violent.
So you are pretty upset that half of that violence was carried out by white nationalists too right? It's only the violence that disappoints me, not the percentage.
Which cities had nationalists rioting? All the cities I've seen the rioting was done by Antifa, Black Blok, or other such anarchist groups. Where were the nationalists rioting? So you are pretty upset that half of that violence was carried out by white nationalists too right?
Not so much know as have no reason to think otherwise. How do you know my questions had no impact on them?

Within the same protests Ken. Were you not paying attention to THAT news? The violence THEY were perpetrating?Which cities had nationalists rioting? All the cities I've seen the rioting was done by Antifa, Black Blok, or other such anarchist groups. Where were the nationalists rioting?
Again; which cities are you talking about? Are you saying in all the cities where black Blok and Antifa were rioting and destroying property, there were white supremacists destroying property also?Within the same protests Ken. Were you not paying attention to THAT news? The violence THEY were perpetrating?
My goal was not to have an impact on them, my goal was to find out what they were complaining about. Not so much know as have no reason to think otherwise.
Nope. I am talking about the news article that was posted earlier in the thread. Post 30Again; which cities are you talking about? Are you saying in all the cities where black Blok and Antifa were rioting and destroying property, there were white supremacists destroying property also?
I didn't see any white supremacists destroying property on any of the news reports; I was wondering in which part of the country is this happening.Nope. I am talking about the news article that was posted earlier in the thread. Post 30
Why would it matter what cities?
I didn't see any white supremacists destroying property on any of the news reports; I was wondering in which part of the country is this happening.
More like Antifa using the BLM protest as an excuse to start the rioting. So all you saw was BLM protestors breaking stuff on the news.
Does that apply to all groups or just the ones you don’t agree with? Does it apply to all social movements? What about state-sponsored violence? Is that acceptable?Hello Sparagmos, as I said, the 100 days were of protests AND riots, not 100 days of riots. Or, as the AP article title in my post put it: Portland’s grim reality: 100 days of protests, many violent
My point is, one day (or even one incident) of violence is FAR too much, and we have had FAR more than that, a fact that this thread has already made clear

how do you know it was Antifa? did you spot their decoder rings?More like Antifa using the BLM protest as an excuse to start the rioting.
Yes but you aren’t just condemning violence, you are condemning a movement that is 98% peaceful due to a small amount of violence. I’m asking if you apply that standard everywhere. Every social movement has included some violence. Do you therefore condemn all social movements? Many innocents are killed in war. Are you opposed to all war?Hello @Sparagmos, I don't condone violence against innocents whenever/wherever it's happening.
As for "state-sponsored" violence, which one of our State(s) is guilty of doing thatThe only official, state-sponsored violence that I can think off hand is abortion, and I certainly do not condone that.
