  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I like Toshhiro and Ichimaru, but they aren't on the list....

Hmm....I don't know enough about the Soul Reaper characters.....Maybe someone should make a poll for them?
Apparently you watch the english version they are really called death gods or shinigami

All of them mean approximately the same thing. Any which way you cut it, they still act as psychopomps.

I know its basically the same thing but I just hate it when they change words and I think the english voice acting is terrible
Eh, it's not the worst I've ever heard (that distinction goes to Weiss Kreuz - talk about painful) - it's just mediocre, really. The mispronunciation of some names and whatnot does tick me off (the first 'i' in Kuchiki isn't short/unemphasized, for instance), but then again I usually only watch the dub when I'm bored and there's nothing else on.

Viz really did a haphazard job in translation - some things were left untranslated, others were translated...it's a mess. I more or less agree with Lunar's treatment of things, although sometimes they got a little too cumbersome (writing out 'Court of Pure Souls' every time a character said Seireitei - shortening it to 'the Court' would have been fine, since people would still know what's being referenced). Sadly, none of the groups currently subbing Bleach follow close to Lunar's.

Believe it or not, this week's episode is a filler episode. And you can count on a massive filler run after this business with the espada is over. The anime is dangerously close to the manga and it's pretty obvious that they want to increase the gap between them.

I'm just about ready to stop watching the anime altogether because of all this crap. I mean, maybe some good will come out of this and they'll finally get rid of those modsouls, but to do so by seriously distorting the storyline?

Spoiler (highlight to see, as the spoiler tags don't seem to work):
Ulquiorra getting trounced by non-espada. Really, what the heck? In the latest manga chapters Ichigo with his mask on seems to be only on-par with Grimmjow, and I would imagine power differences between the different Espada ranks are pretty significant, which could very well mean that Ulquiorra is astronomically more powerful, being two ranks ahead of Grimmjow. I see Grimmjow's assertion that it was fear that they'd destroy each other as arrogance more than anything. There's simply no way short of incredibly bad plotholes to allow arrancar that weren't Espada to be able to take Ulquiorra down, even if temporarily.

I don't know what the show's producers were thinking, quite simply. The Bount arc was meant to get the manga ahead of the show by a good margin, but even so it barely has enough steam to last until January if we were to go back into the main storyline immediately.

I watch the anime because there isn't a manga store here where I live. I have to drive out of town to Barnes and Nobles, but WHEN I DO GO, I will be buying as many volumes of Bleach as I can. I want to start reading the manga so I don't have to rely on the manga.

This weeks filler wasn't bad. You can expect another couple after this one, and then they plan to go nonstop mainstreem storyline until the end of the espada chapter. But seriously, what enemy can be more powerful then the espada?

I see two paths here:

Speculations based on spoilers:
1) Aizen's plan to cross dimensions and kill the Royal family is thwarted, and then ????

2) After facing down the Aizen and co., Ichigo and everyone else manage to retreat without stopping them entirely, which faciliates the War In Winter. This could end in one of two ways: a) Aizen is stopped, or b) he isn't stopped and crosses into the Royal family's dimension, setting up another arc therein where I'm sure more things will get revealed, and culminating with his eventual defeat (because Bleach is obviously not the type of show where the bad guys end up winning in the end).

So if point 1 is how it happens, the Hueco Mundo arc is the final one of this ordeal and whether the series continues beyond that is anyone's guess. If the second option is taken, then it allows for 1 or 2 - possibly 3 if the 2b route is taken and broken into two halves like the first Soul Society invasion was - more arcs after the current one (Hueco Mundo).
