Young people are going to have sex regardless of what such organisations think of it. We might as well educated these young people so that if they do have sex they will be informed and have the knowledge of birth control.
Now this is the correct appraoch to adopt. Good thinking Alessandra

It is ultimatly going to be your son or daughters decision about whether or not they will have sex. You can guide your child and teach them, but they are the ones who will make the decision.

If I had a daughter my age who I knew was sexually active, iI would prefer her to have knowledge of birth control then for her to come to me and tell me she is pregnant because no one taught her because it is wrong. Not that being pregnant is a bad thing, I just mean that the vast majority of 18 year olds are not ready for a child.

I've never understood this either or attitude. It is possible to teach your children about birth control AND advocate abstinence
I agree!

I believe it is primarily the parent's place to instill moral groudwork. However...

I think that schools should provide medically accurate information about the body (because many parents are too squimish, or just might not know the specific information), sexually transmitted diseases, prevention, and birth control, but be sure to tell kids that the only way to prevent all problems is to wait till a commited marriage.

Parents and schools have to work together instead of bickering at each other. Both want the same...to have children grow up into responsible adults! Can't they all just along?
