Black Friday.....

Just reported:
A worker at a Long Island Wallmart was literally trampled to death this morning as he opened the doors for the crowds lined up outside.

I find this unbelievable - all to grab a bargain for Christmas presents.

What is happening to people?!

about 8 yrs ago when I went out on Blk Friday people were literally fighting each other as they were trying to grab stuff in a big bin.
That was the last time I went shopping on the day after Thanksgiving.

People are just WAY too greedy and hostile to get their sale...
no thank you.

I don't think the sales today are much different than the good sales you get all thru December; certainly not worth losing life & limb over

that's always what I remembered of Black Friday too.

I shopped on it about 2-3 yrs, and after I stopped, I noticed that I was still finding awesome sales on other days later in the month....
I kinda don't get it?

Great! I was hoping it would be less crazy this year, because I desperately need to go shoe shopping.
My daughter needs shoes for her confirmation Sunday and if I don't find some decent trainers today, I can't workout. We'll be going in.....pray for us!!!

I told my husband about this & his first response was to ask how do you
even prosecute someone for this murder?
You really can't; almost adds insult to tragedy when nobody can be held
responsible for it.

I'm with ya there! I can't stand it! Especially for clothes and shoes. Blech!
I do like to find a really great deal though, like if I'm looking for a book online and I find it at 80% off with free shipping or something. Then I'm a happy camper.

I'm a deal shopper for sure. I have to REALLLLLY fall in love w/ something
& have to have it in order to buy it at full price.

Shoe shopping..... I confess, I'm a shoe fanatic, I can shop for those anytime. Clothes is a DRAG tho. Completely.

I worked retail for seven years, and on the last Black Friday that I worked in retail, at a pretty famous retail store, I literally had to get up on the checkout counter with a bullhorn and YELL at the women. It was absolutely revolting. I had to call the police to haul off two women who got in a cat-fight over some purses...

It was Satan, right there in front of me.

Ya just this morning they showed video of people diving for the last
few Xboxes & a fight broke out.
These people look like crazed freaks out there!

Now there's talk of suing the STORES for people getting hurt & fighting!
Now it's the store's fault for people's crappy, infantile behaviour.

I'm so fed up with the blame going to the wrong people.

Apparently two people were shot to death in a Toys 'R Us yesterday too. My goodness.

The news showed an interview of a woman who was shopping yesterday and she explained that the reason people act like they do on black friday is because it's hard to explain to the kids when you can't afford nice presents. What is the world coming to? Someone needs to remind that poor girl that Christmas is NOT about presents. And you can't afford them it's not the end of the world. We did without when I was a kid and it sure didn't hurt me any.

I guess America can join the ranks with other countries now that have the same kinds of violence break out at soccer games.
