ANALYSIS: Has the final battle for Jerusalem begun?

“The Silent Intifada” read a headline above an article on this news site Thursday about recent Palestinian Arab terror attacks in Israel.

The article dealt with a report made by the Boomerang Fighting for Israel group mentioned that since the beginning of 2019 there have been 360 terror attacks against Israelis, among them shooting- and car ramming attacks.

The recent increase in Arab terror in Judea and Samaria, as well as Gaza, is related to a new crisis over Muslim control over the Temple Mount, where Muslims seized the Golden Gate area at the end of February - but has other root causes as well.

Maybe after the election next month.
That's a definite possibility. I've also heard that Netanyahu is under pressure to start a war before the elections, otherwise he won't be able to keep his position afterward. I'm not sure if he would resort to that, but either way a war could break out very soon.

This latest attack on Tel Aviv was quite the surprise for the IDF - they had no prior intelligence that such a provocation would take place. Especially on the highly populated city of Tel Aviv; usually the Israeli communities near Gaza are targeted. Supposedly, the last time this occurred was back in 2014. None of the Gaza factions have claimed responsibility for this latest attack, however Israel has promised a strong response in Gaza, which should be taking place shortly. No official sources on that yet.
