You are not listening to the Lord's admonitions about what you are doing .... and when His day does come there will be no warnings or signs .... and all earth dwellers will know that they are under His unprecedented judgment with out a doubt [Psalms 2; Revelation 6:2-17]

When the fullness of the Gentiles of the nations has been added to the Lord's true ecclesia, He is going to dramatically the change course of events

His focus will be upon His nation of Israel and He is going to bring the 70th week decreed .... same period as the coming tribulation of His wrath and judgment upon the whole world

His purpose will be to bring the nation under His covenant and a remnant part will turn and believe in their Messiah and King [Jeremiah 30; 31:31-37; Ezekiel 20:34-44; Daniel 9:24-27]

You don't think this is going to ripple through the world's financial markets and hasten a global economic collapse ? The appearance of the Third Horseman of the Apocalypse ?

You don't think the realignment of Britain, Japan, Germany, Turkey and the Philippines against U.S. interests is not going to have any ramifications on the possibility of a looming Third World War ? The Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse ?

We haven't even seen the "fallout" from the Pope's Interfaith Convocation scheduled for later this month in Jerusalem yet, especially if the ultra-orthodox Jews intend to link the event with some symbolic Mosaic ritual sacrifice on the Temple Mount afterwards. Can't wait to see how all that plays out.

So far this month (and keep in mind we're only six days into it), I'm 5 and 0 on predicting what is going to happen according to Bible Prophecy... while you guys score "Zip" so far.

The most significant thing about the post #217 was the question asked at the beginning of the video. "What if Bible Prophecy is fulfilled in some manner other than what we expect" ? The way I see it, you have two choices. You can choose not to believe what you're hearing and seeing before your eyes, or you can recognize your view of Bible Prophecy fulfillment was somehow flawed. Which should not come as any surprise, because that's exactly the point 1 Corinthians 13:12 makes.

Lots of people are tripped up, because they fail to take into account "preparatory" and "consummate" stages of fulfillment. The preparatory stage of fulfillment, may only be a foreshadowing (warning) of what is to come later, to which the OP of this thread "Birth Pangs" refers.

Others are simply so locked into their own hypothesis about the meaning of End Time Bible Prophecy, they are totally incapable of hearing, or seeing anything else. It's kind of like the mistake the ancient Pharisees made when they rejected Christ, because he didn't fit their notion of a "warrior king" messiah, who was going to lead Israel in a revolt against the Roman rule.

This is a good point, Stephen. While we should be diligent to study and do our best to understand the whole counsel of God, we must not become so arrogant to think that our interpretation of things must be exactly right. Mixing humility in with study is good practice.

Show me the scripture that is being fulfilled in the events you claim.

So far you've been 0 and 5 on specific chapter and verse you claim have been fulfilled in these 5 events.

And who are you to proclaim the authority to cite ANY current event as the fulfillment of prophesy anyway? what scripture gives you such authority?

oh, and I wont be the one discrediting you... I wont need to, as you are doing a fine job of it all by yourself.

Your statement is patently false and meant to deceive readers of this thread, and I can prove it. Here is a list of the posts in this thread in which I quote chapter and verse regarding Bible Prophecy and the current events that are fulfilling them. Post 83, 107, 148, 153, 182, 203, 229 and 231. You might also check the threads "Is the Great Tribulation Impending" and "2017", there are dozens of more posts in these two threads listing chapter and verse which support what I am posting here in CF in the eschatology forum. Why don't my posts contain more chapter and verse Scriptural references ?Two reasons. First, I presume everyone reading the post has at least a working knowledge of Bible Scripture. So when I refer to something stated in the Olivet Discourse, I don't cite chapter and verse. It would be redundant, as much as it would be an insult to the intelligence of those reading the post. Anyone who wants to, can bring up the specific chapter and verse on their computer screen simply using the words or verse as it is quoted, as well as plenty of scholarly Bible commentary.

In my experience, sprawling posts containing dozens of scriptural citations are tedious to readers, they often speed read through all the minutia, or more likely simply skip the post altogether, making such lengthy posts a very poor way of getting one's point across. The fewest words and getting straight to the point is my way of communicating.

This forum is for an informal general discussion of eschatology. It is expressly not a courtroom for lawyers and their tedious and overly wordy arguments.

I hope this information helps you to make more accurate and effective posts in the future.

Anyone remember the blood moons thing? Apparently there's another blood moon coming up on September 16th. I don't doubt that there are signs in the Heavens and that prophecy will eventually come to pass, but think about all the damage these false alarms cause to the Christian witness.

It seems like people just like the attention that comes from making predictions. At least over on you tube there's a new end of the world prophecy every month, and the videos predictably get thousands of views. Why?

As to why people are drawn to them, my guess is it's an indication of how much we're looking forward to going Home!

That's a Penumbral eclipse on Sept 16th. The blood moon for the rapture of the church found in Joel 2:30-31 and Revelation 6:12-13 is a total eclipse involving a "single" blood moon.

The blood moon you were thinking is a tetrad involving 4 consecutive blood moons. The tetrads in the past has always involved Israel, never the church, and will not occur again for another 500 years. (That's why people didn't get the rapture they were expecting). The blood moon mentioned in Joel 2:30-31 and Revelation 6:12-13 for the church occurs in the Winter season a Generation from Israel's independence (Matthew 24:32-35) and a Jubilee from the Six-Day War.

The biblical signs and warnings will not materialize until the tribulation begins and during the period .... then there will be no doubt

This period of the Lord's day has not yet begun and when it does there will be no doubt [Psalms 2, Revelation 6:12-17]

Only then will the signs and warnings revealed materialize .... anything outside of the scope is the speculation of men

Ok,
Typically I would ask what scripture you can point to that teaches that "God gives you the authority to interpret end times prophesy" but lets just assume you are correct for the moment....and if you are correct we can also assume that God gives me the same authority, right?
.... yet our interpretations are polar opposite from one another.
So, knowing we BOTH have been given the authority by God to interpret end times prophesy, how are our readers to determine which of our opposite interpretations are in fact "authoritative"?
