people need to hear that God LOVES them. people are DESPERATE to hear that God LOVES them. we need to TELL people that God LOVES them, and pour out all the grace God has poured through us to others and have a passion to do so. God takes care of the rest, if we speak His LOVE to people. People are desperately wounded. People are gripped and caught up with generational strong holds. THey need to hear there is ONE Who will break those chains. We need to just SPEAK His grace, and His Spirit will do the rest. We may even stumble or stutter as we say it, but we need to say it anyway, and God's grace will supersede all our bumblings and will reach those hungry for His grace. We're ALL hungry for His grace. We're ALL in this together. Our focus should be on HIM and His Word, and not on how our brothers and sisters may possibly be clumsy in speaking it. We are to LOVE and pray for one another.

Hebrews 4:15 IS what people need to hear (i know I do. who ISN'T struggling in some way or other? i NEED to hear that my high priest is in this WITH me.)

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." ~Hebrews 4:15

I have eaten, slept, and lived this verse (still do at times):

"Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me." ~Psalm 139:5

It's right in line with this one:

"Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction." Isaiah 48:10

We all NEED to hear this (and "absorb" what it means):

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." ~Romans 8:35-39

This is true, isn't it?:

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." ~I John 4:18

God gives us confirmations of His love for us and how He delights over us with singing, doesn't He? Do we keep a journal of His evidences He places all around us of His love for us?

"Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me." ~Psalm 86:17

O God of all grace

Author: Charles Wesley

O God of all grace,
Thy goodness we praise;
Thy Son thou hast given
to die in our place.
He came from above
Our curse to remove,
He hath loved, he hath loved us,
because he would love.

Love moved him to die,
And on this we rely,
He hath loved, he hath loved us,
we cannot tell why.
But this we can tell,
He hath loved us so well,
As to lay down his life
to redeem us from hell.

He hath ransomed our race,
O how shall we praise
Or worthily sing
thy unspeakable grace?
Nothing else will we know
In our journey below,
But singing thy grace
to thy paradise go.

Nay, and when we remove
To the mansions above,
Our heaven shall be
still to sing of thy love.
Thrice happy employ!
We there shall enjoy
A fulness of pleasure
that never can cloy.

The heavenly choir
With us shall aspire,
And gladly our loving
Redeemer admire.
We all shall commend
The love of our Friend,
For ever beginning
what never shall end.

..or some far off country. It's here n' now, right where you are, at work, at school, in the store, at the bus stop, in your neighborhood, in your back yard, and in your own home, and with your family.

It's right where you are, right now, in this moment. Wherever that may be, you've just entered it.

Be still and KNOW, just know, that He is God. Let His inexplicable peace reign.

Instuments of peace Official Video (with lyrics) - YouTube
Lyrics:
Chorus:
Lord, Make us instruments of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let your love increase
Lord, make us instruments of your peace,
Walls of pride and prejudice shall cease
When we are your instruments of peace.

Where there is hatred, we will show his love
Where there is injury, we will never judge
Where there is striving, we will speak his peace
To the millions crying for release,
We will be his instruments of peace

Lord, Make us instruments of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let your love increase
Lord, make us instruments of your peace,
Walls of pride and prejudice shall cease
When we are your instruments of peace.

Where there is blindness, we will pray for sight
where there is darkness, we will shine his light
Where there is sadness, we will bear their grief
To the millions crying for relief,
We will be your instruments of peace.

We all feel at a loss at times (for me it's lots o' times) and when this happens, what ELSE can we do but get on our knees? Just as Hezekiah did when a sure attack from the powerful king of Assyria loomed, we do likewise, and we get on our knees before God. Who ELSE do we have but the Lord God Almighty? It is from Him our Help comes from. As it is written, He is a very PRESENT HELP in our times of trouble, and when we are afraid, we will trust in Him, for HE is our Hiding Place.

He's speaking on the Judgment Seat of Christ. And how all that we have done will be made manifest. Our "work" will be put through fire. If not done for Christ's sake and His glory, it will be burned in fire with only stubble left, and we will be naked, with no crown. And we will see the grief in Jesus' face, yet Him still loving us.

He mentioned a poem, written by Martha Snell Nicholson. Martha Snell Nicholson was a bedridden invalid who suffered from four incurable diseases. She struggled with pain for over 35 years. After being an invalid for many years, her loving husband, who she depended on, died suddenly. Through all her pain and suffering came some of the finest Christian poetry ever written.

His Plan For Me

When I stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ
And His plan I begin to see,
The plan for my life as it might have been
Had He had His way with me.

Will I see how I slowed Him and blocked His way
And would not yield my will?
And will there be grief in my Saviour's eyes,
Grief, tho He loves me still?
He would have me be rich,
But I chose to stay poor.
He wanted to bless,
And I kept closing the door.

Will my memory run like a hunted fawn,
Down paths that I cannot retrace?
Will I remember things I should have done
As I gaze on His precious face?

Then will my trembling heart well nigh break
With tears that must be shed,
I'll cover my face with my empty hands
As I bow my uncrowned head.

Lord, of the years that are left to me
I give them into Thy hand.
Take me, and break me, and mold me to fit
In the pattern that You had planned.

~Martha Snell Nicholson

Leonard Ravenhill was a great man of prayer and even more importantly, a man who knew God. He devoted his whole life to being intimate with God and trying to bring others to the same. He prayed for Revival, looked for Revival and longed for Revival. He was a prophet to the Church of his time.

Leonard Ravenhill

By David Bercot

Leonard Ravenhill was one of Britains foremost outdoor evangelists of the 20th century. God used him to help bring thousands of people to Christ throughout Britain. Unlike the case with many of todays evangelists, the conversions that Leonard helped to bring about were generally lasting conversions. Thats because he did not water down the Gospel when he preached it. Later in life, Leonard and his family moved to the United States, where he worked with Bethany House Publishers. In the 1980s, Leonard and his family moved to a home near Lindale, Texas, a short distance from Last Days Ministries. Leonard regularly taught classes at Last Days Ministries, and he was a mentor to the late Keith Green.

A. W. Tozer, who was a friend of Leonard, said this about Leonard: To such men as this the church owes a debt too heavy to pay. The curious thing is that she seldom tries to pay him while he lives. Rather, the next generation builds his sepulcher and writes his biography—as if instinctively and awkwardly to discharge an obligation the previous generation to a large extent ignored.

Those who know Leonard Ravenhill will recognize in him the religious specialist, the man sent from God not to carry on the conventional work of the church, but to beard the priests of Baal on their own mountain-top, to shame the careless priest at the altar, to face the false prophet and to warn the people who are being led astray by him.

Such a man as this is not an easy companion. He is not the professional evangelist who leaves the wrought-up meeting as soon as it is over to hurry to the most expensive restaurant to feast and crack jokes with his retainers. Such evangelists will find this man something of an embarrassment, for he cannot turn off the burden of the Holy Ghost as one would turn off a faucet. He insists upon being a Christian all the time, everywhere. And again, that marks him out as different.

I first met Leonard in 1989, when he was eighty-two years old and in frail health. At first glance, I would not have thought that God could still use this fragile, white-haired man. He walked slowly and unsteadily, and he sometimes needed help to get up and down from his chair. Yet, as soon as he opened his mouth, I immediately realized that my initial impression was wrong. At eighty-two, Leonard still spoke with fire and conviction, and it felt like his eyes were piercing right through to my soul.

During the last few years of his life, Leonard moderated a prayer meeting held once a week (later once a month), which was attended primarily by pastors and evangelists. Some of these men made a four-hour round trip to attend those prayer meetings. I attended those prayer meetings from 1989 until they ended in the summer of 1994, a few months before Leonards death. During the years that I attended those prayer meetings, I never once left without being deeply challenged by what Leonard had said.

just stumbled across it today.

“The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword, and the Christian’s charter. Here Paradise is restored, Heaven opened, and the gates of hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good the design and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.”
