How many of us actually try to "box" God in? We, fallen creatures that we are, without a solid, righteous leg to stand on, in all of our finite puny-ness are gonna actually try to "confine" the Alpha and the Omega, Creator, Almighty God, the Ancient of Days, and "domesticate" Him.

Kinda delusional, isn't it?

And many of them do not believe they can. The benchmark of success in church services has become more about attendance than the movement of the Holy Spirit. Seriously, Christians were never meant to live in boxes, to live by "habit" and have a daggone smile on their face when in doing so it would cause more pain , cause more misery, or burden someone already "burdened" with even more heaviness to bear.

Now why would i post this verse right about now?

This one here ----->"As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart." ~Proverbs 25:20

As it is written, there is a time and a purpose for everything.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" ~Ecclesiastes 3:1

James writes that even "blessing" (or mouth-ing "God bless you" ) emptily can be downright hurtful and add to someone's misery:

"If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?" ~James 2:15-16

God looks on the heart. A heart not genuine need not wear a plastered on smile. The truth is, it makes God vomit, and ev'ryone else too, and causes even more tears to the already suffering. And well let's face it, a "smile" not coming from the inside out can be downright scary.

He speaks of the widow and the wicked ruler. She is poor, powerless, destitute, and seeks relief of a dire sort with this ruler. He at first brushes her aside. She keeps coming back, (and here, Paul uses the description of her "wrestling" with the ruler, by relentlessly returning and asking) Now this is an amaaaaaazing lesson in what it means to "wrestle" with God. For it is as Jacob did, when he "wrestled" with God. Wrestling with God means "relentless pursuit" and not stopping, being relentless. And it kinda' fits in with the verse about not having because we do not ask. Just as the widow was desperate, so was Jacob. both were in dire straits, and both were "wrestling for dear life". And so it is with us. Do we "wrestle for dear life" (desperately, passionately) with God? Do we TRUST Him that much, KNOW Him so intimately that we DARE to "wrestle" with Him?

Speaking the Word, no frills, no "extras", no "milk", but the Word, and the power thereof is presented. The Word, after all, speaks for itself. We should just let it as we speak it, letting the Holy Spirit do the rest. And He will, for He surely completes what He started, for His Word never returns to Him void.

Well i'm layin' there, half asleep with the tv on cuz early in the am, edifying programs come on, almost one after the other. So Joyce Meyer came on and woke me right up. Know what she was talkin' about? Tattoos. And not only talkin' about them, but mentioned she might get one. Yes she said it.

I got up from that bed and sat on the chair, absorbing ev'ry word, cuz what she was saying was lining right up with the Bible, and it was true. She had the entire audience roaring AND many were standing up almost in an ovation. Here's what she said:

....and chewin' on fer a while, and sharing....y'know wisdom really is a priceless gift from God. Reading Proverbs (God's book of wisdom) is like absorbing spiritual vitamins:

Pray for the protection of the citizens of the US. I just heard on CBN news that the US gov't can drop a bomb on any US citizen that is deemed a threat, without solid evidence or due process. They showed a clip of the White House press secretary explaining away how the president wouldn't abuse his power. What this means, however is that the president of the US has unchecked executive power.

God help us.
