Binding and Loosing

From a Reformed perspective, what is the "binding and loosing" given to the disciples of the New Testament? Did it end with them? Do we, as Christians, all possess this, in that we are part of the "priesthood" of Christ?

Jesus told the disciples to go and make more disciples.
Also the spiritual gifts, there is the gift of prophecy and apostleship.
Paul was an apostle.

We can do this because Jesus has given us authority to do so..he has given us His name.
how does it go? 'whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven"..Jesus was talking about the church...thats us!...
But what about practical application of this..any examples out there?

I think it is everything good and evil as far as choices go.
Sowing and reaping.
How about when Paul and the other guy(forgot name) was thrown in jail, they started to praise God, and God opened the doors of the prison.
Close the doors on sin(evil) and open them to righteousness.
