I simply do not care for, in the slightest bit, the taste or smell of coffee. Something about it makes me want to simultaneously hurl and my lungs close up and make it quite difficult to breathe. It's the stench of coffee. It was what woke me up on weekends as a child, I couldn't breathe because my mom was making coffee.

The only smell I dislike more is bacon. Yes, I would rather smell a skunk than coffee or bacon.

Why only on weekends and did you tell your mother about how coffee made you feel?

Hmm. Well I had to read her book I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings pretty early, so it was my first encounter with her. She had to deal with a lot from her youth on, from dealing with racism to being raped to living on the streets or having a child at an early age. And while I have, luckily, not experienced any of those things first hand, it was touching to read about her experiences knowing who she later became. So knowing that she pretty much lived at the bottom that life had to offer and yet made something positive out of her life was quite inspiring. Bad stuff may happen to us, but it can't hold us back.

Yep, definately an amazing and inspiring person.
And it's each person's choice if they want to be held back by suffering or not ey !

It depends entirely on how strange and how they are strange. If it is just creepy, inappropriate strangeness then not at all. However if it is harmless yet amusing strangeness, then sure.
