Senator Grassley and the House Oversight Committee, led by Chairman James Comer, have been pressing the FBI for an explanation of what, if any, follow-up investigation has been done regarding extensively detailed disclosures that implicate now-President Biden in a $10 million bribery scheme (among other corrupt acts) from a CHS with a track-record of reliability. Thus far, the FBI and its Justice Department superiors have declined to respond to those inquiries.

There is no legitimate reason to hide unclassified information from the American people.

Other than this one, how many FD-1023's have you seen?

I'm sorry - what "CHS" has a track-record of reliability?

This is just a ginned up bogus scandal to distract from the former guy's family's problems. The firing of the corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor was US policy not a rogue act for private profit.

How many is needed?
The OP attempts to make the point that this document was being withheld from the American people.

That suggests that ordinarily, the American people must get access to these documents.

In fact, we don't, because they are part of the FBI's investigative process and confidentiality of sources is important. You can't just go down to the police station and ask for files on an unsolved murder, even if those documents are not classified.

Indeed on the document itself, it now reads "Authorized for public release by Ranking Member Grassley/Chairman Comer"

Whether this is valid or not, I don't know, but it does presuppose that releasing the document requires somebody to authorize that release.

I managed to find some publicly released FD-1023's relating to Christopher Steele. Wouldn't you like to know what he told the FBI?

Joe bragged about his threat, he would withhold all of that money unless they fired the prosecutor. It is NOT U.S. policy to use U.S. taxpayer money as extortion against a country to have a foreign prosecutors fired. Hunter had absolutely no experience of the job, according the witness five million went to Hunter and five million to another unnamed Biden.

Biden was tasked with the job by Obama. And yes he bragged about executing that piece of our foreign policy.

Obama made Biden the Administration's point man on Ukraine.

Obama made then-Vice President Biden the point man, and he became a frequent visitor to Ukraine. By his own count, Biden says he went there about a dozen times from early 2014 through early 2016.

Joe Biden has actually boasted about his work in Ukraine as a spokesperson for the White House and the West generally. He called for the ouster of the top Ukrainian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, for what was widely seen as his failure to investigate corruption.

But there has been no evidence of wrongdoing, and Joe Biden was tasked as vice president with helping to weed out corruption in Ukraine.

The key figure in pushing the [Biden] corruption narrative appears to be Giuliani.

And Giuliani's pal Parnas says there's nothing to it.

It was withheld from Congress until Grassley pushed the issue - if it was withheld from congress, the public sure did not have it.

No, it doesn't - your argument is falling apart.
In fact, we don't, because they are part of the FBI's investigative process and confidentiality of sources is important. You can't just go down to the police station and ask for files on an unsolved murder, even if those documents are not classified.
No one said you could

Thank you Mr. Grassley

Awesome - open a thread on it - this thread is about Joe Biden.

Let's stay on topic please.

Joe's office was contacted about the perceived conflict of interest by George Kent in early 2013. Kent was the former Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv. Amos Hochstein also raised concerns with Joe's office about Hunter being on the board of Burisma. Joe would not budge. The Grassley document shows the earlier stories were wrong, it wasn't Burisma who initiated the scheme. According to the reporting Joe instigated the extortion.

It was withheld from Congress until Grassley pushed the issue - if it was withheld from congress, the public sure did not have it.

The FBI agreed to show it to relevant congresscritters on the House Oversight Committee in a SCIF more than a month and a half ago. Senator Grassley didn't have anything to do with that as far as I know.
Thank you Mr. Grassley
And now, what have you learned that you did not know from the previous stories? It's not like Congress can refer the matter to the DOJ -- that's where the document came from in 2020.

No. As you cleverly pointed out earlier, Joe took credit for advancing American foreign policy in this way. Just after it happened. The Grassley document has not changed that part of the situation one iota.

Zlochevzsky said that he didn't want to pay the Bidens but was "pushed to pay" the Bidens. That is not what we were previously told.
As to "taking credit of foreign policy," what Joe Biden actually explained was that he told them the US would not release a billion dollars unless the prosecutor was fired: “I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours,’” “‘If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a b.....” . . . “He got fired.”

The FBI has reportedly corroborated parts of a trusted informant's story that a Ukrainian oligarch bribed Joe Biden and his son Hunter with $10 million, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The informant, who was interviewed by the FBI in 2020, alleged that Mykola Zlochevsky – the owner of the Ukrainian gas firm Burisma – admitted to a scheme that involved bribing both President Biden and Hunter with $5 million each.
The informant claimed that Zlochevsky told them about alleged payments of $5 million each to Hunter and Joe Biden to both halt a Ukrainian criminal investigation into him and secure favorable treatment for his Burisma company.
The FBI informant alleged that the Bidens allegedly met with Zlochevsky at Burisma's office in Kyiv in late 2015 or early 2016, in Vienna in early 2016, and shared a phone call with him shortly after the 2016 presidential election.

According to an insider on the probe

One of those anonymous source thingies. Nor do we know what details were 'reportedly corroborated'.

Yeah, an unvetted, unidentified source claims to have heard someone say Biden extorted a bribe. At best, that is hearsay and at worst, a lie.

Zlochevsky allegedly declared that “it would take them (investigators) 10 years to find the records (i.e. illicit payments to Joe Biden).”
The source told the FBI that “it is very common for business men in post-Soviet countries to brag or show-off. Additionally, it is extremely common for businesses in Russia and Ukraine to make ‘bribe’ payments to various government officials.”

That's nothing. Proof that Obama was born in Africa is stored in a time capsule to be opened in 2442. You can't have that evidence, but now that I assure you it exists, that's the same thing, right?

The source told the FBI that “it is very common for business men in post-Soviet countries to brag or show-off.
Is bragging always truthful?
