So what's your problem this time ? Anything illegal going on ? Any patently wrong statements ?
It happens as countries move toward socialism, a small percentage of the people make a lot of money while life gets tougher for the rest.

And this differs from the capitalism you practice in US in any way ? Big players eat little ones, unions are shunned, politicians are bought by the corporations, donations to politicians are nothing more than legalized bribery.....you have problems but socialism isn't one of them.

Also most people couldn't explain socialism and it's various forms if their life depended on it. It is just their chosen bogey man like communism or globalism.

I'm enjoying witnessing whatever confusion leads to the conclusion that moving the ownership of capital into the collective hands of the government means big stock market gains by the private individuals who share ownership in the means of production.

Big players do dominate, you have the establishment, mostly Democrats and a good chunk of the Republican Party who promote such a situation.
Most patriots in the past were forced out, one sitting U.S. senator was opposed at re-election and lost the Republican primer because he dared speak out about he abuses of the Bush administration. A third party would be best, I don't know what the fate of the Republican Party will be.

Biden administration Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm exercised $1.6 million in stock options with an electric vehicle technology firm as she and President Joe Biden continue to encourage Americans to buy electric cars in response to spiking gas prices.

We should want to go electric. Less people buying gas. Gas demands go down. Then gas prices go down . That helps the poor.

We as a nation should have had a conversation, people with different opinions testifying before Congress, and then legislation could be drafted. We could talk about the environmental and economic effects, short and long term, how long it would take to upgrade the power grid to handle electric cars, whether solar and wind sources could be improved and how quickly, etc. As it is, the current Biden administration policy of quicly attacking the U.S. fossil fuel industry accelerates global warming by relying more on refined oil that does not meet U.S. environmental standards, quickly raised the price of gas (not by just the penny or two a year when Joe grew up) and devastated the economy, hurting poor people the most. Inflation is out of control, because fossil fuels power much of the transportation of goods and also are an ingredient in many products. There are questions to be asked, should we use rare earth minerals produced by foreign countries using slave labor and strip mining in order to build batteries for these electric cars? Will we use coal and tar sands or nuclear energy for new power plants needed to power the power plants that create the electricity to charge the cars?

Inflation is out of control all over the world. We should have been more advance now when it comes to electric cars and solar panels. But Trump was against. So now we have to start over. If Trump was doing his job better. And didn't cater to We would be behind on electric cars.

It's out of control in the United States, plenty of countries are doing better inflation wise than here. Joe refuses to take even basic steps to bring down the price of gas and runaway inflation. Joe's war on fossil fuels has hastened global warming, who is anyone to say the U.S. should promote those countries who use slave labor and environmentally damage the earth just because they want electric cars? Take a bicycle.

Just going for electric bicycles where and when reasonable would already make a huge impact for mental and physical health in US while saving money and environment.

With those things you can easily do few dozen miles a day for commuting to work and whatnot.

That's just it, should a president be able to wipe out industries based upon his personal preferences? Electric bicycles would be good in many parts of the U.S., but here our average high temperature in January is below the average low temperature in Oslo and it could get chilly on an electric bike. Maybe electric cars would not be so good in colder climates.

Gee, almost like I mentioned to use e bikes when reasonable. Maybe chilly January isn't the time for it then. Isn't it great that there are things like spring, summer and autumn. Perhaps that would be better time to use e bikes....

Thing is that lots of people are just too comfortable, too out of shape, too fat, too depressed to actually increase their physical activity so they come up with these great excuses why they can't move in June because it gets chilly in January.

It certainly cuts some range on electric vehicles on colder climates so if you have long commute perhaps it is totally reasonable to stay on your ICE vehicle. Which is totally fine. If it makes more sense then do it.

There is no one specific solution to our energy and environmental problems. It is a gradual approach. The most difficult thing to change is not the technology it is the attitudes.
