So "which" was Trump then? I honestly don't recall you providing EITHER of these options and his interviews and fact checks were a complete and utter trainwreck.
Really? Trump? Y’all need to learn a different tune.

There is nothing wrong with comparing President Biden to Trump. As a matter of fact, comparing a current president to his predecessor (or to previous presidents) has been done throughout the history of our country. For the record, ridiculing Biden supporters for comparing him to Trump is nothing more than an attempt to control the discussion. It's often used as a means to shame them into silence.

Well, that’s not why I did it.

The various media outlets have their party allegiances, and their tactic is typically "fact check the other side hard, and toss in a few token fact checks against people on our own side to feign credibility and even-handedness"

According to PolitiFact (depending on how much stock one puts in their analysis, I'd certainly put more stock in their analysis than that of Daniel Dale - who has a tendency to call lies for what they are when grilling the other side, but will very rarely do that to his own team, and will instead give it the description of "lacks context"), none of our "big three" domestic outlets have a track record I would call "stellar".

Honestly, I'm just trying to figure out why you care. If you didn't care before....why care now?
Honestly, I’m just trying to figure out why you’re deflecting criticism of Biden.

(just kidding. I’m not)

Have at 'er! I love hearing folks critique Biden. I got no problem with it at all. His gaffes are REALLY REALLY rare compared to that last guy. Go ahead. I mean, none of the critique seems overly damning so far but perhaps something terrible and awful will come.

As opposed to Trump supporters who seemed to bleed when Trump was critiqued.

I didn’t mind the fair criticisms of Trump. I generally only commented when they were unfair. And I don’t think I ever invoked Obama.

While I DO think there were a LOT of nonpolitical criticisms of Trump, I can only really personally think of about 3 or 4 times where I think the blowback against him was unfair or over the top. Maybe a few more were a bit petty.

The whole covfefe thing is one example of that. I mean....who hasn't mistyped?

You would have no reason to invoke Obama because the "problems" the right had with Obama were not the same kinds of problems seen with Trump so there'd be no point.

They were both equally as arrogant. I just never thought that it needed to be brought up.

See I never got "arrogance" from Obama. Though he CERTAINLY was confident.

For you, where is the line from confidence to arrogance?

“me, me, me, I, I, I”.
Really? Seems a bit simplistic....

After I put that post up, here is what I saw in terms of the definitions:
confidence:
a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities.

arrogant:
having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities.

I'm sorry but that is Trump to a TEE.
By way of example how this fits Trump so well:

I can't find anything remotely similar from Obama but I am ABSOLUTELY open to hear it.

Google is your friend. ;)

FLASHBACK: ‘I,’ ‘Me,’ ‘My’—Obama Uses First Person Singular 199 Times

‘I,’ ‘Me,’ ‘My’—Obama Uses First Person Singular 91 Times in Speech on Immigration

Inside the Beltway: Obama references himself 467 times in one speech

Etc.

Well according to Trump and his followers, CNN is fake news, so that means Biden must have not been wrong. :D

But seriously, the guy tends to make gaffes with numbers. I'm expecting a few infamous ones to show up throughout his presidency.
TBF, CNN is isn't the highest quality. It's not too partisan, but it isn't also the most robust on factual reporting either.

A decent chart here:

Media-Bias-Chart-7.0_January-2021-Unlicensed-Social-Media_Low-Res-1.jpg

Being barely more factual than fox news and the NY post isn't exactly a high standard.

Never mind. It's off topic, but I still think the "Obama is uppity!" stuff is racist nonsense and that Trumpers (and alleged non-Trumpers) alike have no room at all to talk.
Ringo
I went back and checked. I never said he was uppity. But thanks for the deflection. ^_^

ETA: I said Obama and Trump were equally arrogant.

HAHA! So what?
The ex/president talks about what he does? What would you expect?

The question is: Did he misrepresent his ability?

I'll certainly grant that could be annoying but honestly, since I don't really know the context of the speech or what he was talking about, this complaint sounds like a whooooooole lot of bluster.

I would think this is funny no matter who did it. I picture someone tweeting away while sleepy and thinking that they need to drink some coffee to stay awake but drift off...:D
