  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I know that almost everyone here has read at least some parts of the Bible. While I have read parts of it, I know that it would be beneficial for me to read all of it, both to see what I can figure out more of my faith and to be clear on what the Bible actually does say, instead of just believing whenever someone says "The Bible says this!", then it turns out it doesn't, or says the same but slightly different.

So, I figured I'd make posts as I go through each book and chapter, giving comments on each chapter and citing some key verses if there are any I feel inclined to comment on. I plan to read the whole Bible from cover to cover, not all in one day, but several posts over time. I'll start with Genesis, of course, and I shall take the text as it is, not "Oh, the New Testament REALLY explains that, it won't make sense until later!" unless prophecy is indicated. Several thousand years is quite a time gap, after all.
