The GMA certainly believes that it is good for people to be exposed to the message of gospel music, just as it would be good for people to read the Bible, but stealing either music or Bibles cannot be justified. It's unfortunate that the music industry has had to resort to prosecution to deter theft, but there seems to be no other choice and thus we lend our support. And as believers in the concept of grace, we are glad to support the amnesty program as well."

"The surge and volume of illegal file-sharing over the past several years cry out for action rooted in strength. This latest legal action by the Music Coalition meets that criteria and is supported by the Church Music Publishers Association. If music wasn't so ridiculously priced so high people wouldn't have needed to come up with a way to get it for free in the first place....most cd's only have 1-2 songs on them worth even listening to, the rest usually just stink.....I refuse to pay $15-20 for a cd when it's for only a couple of songs, but if it's a good cd I'll buy it even though the price is way to high....

Try BMG record club - oops, CD and tape club. Lots of freebies and lots of special offers. And you can join the Christian only branch. When I get an album I don't like I donate it to the Goodwill and then maybe someone will benefit from a Christian CD at $2.00. The avg price works out to something around $5.

I agree with you about the cd's having only one or two songs. I particularly like compilations for that reason although I've bought some awful stinkers there too. The Dove Hits 2002 was mostly rap. Whew!

Now, I don't condone p2p cd downloading for free, but I would think that it would help the small grass roots writer get needed publicity to push an future records.

i am a christians DJ and founder of a revival disco , and I find it hard to be able to hear the cd`s and tapes to see if I will buy them or not, this is a problem here in my town In kassel Germany.

I am the only one spinning christian music with a healing disco, and we casting out demons.

it is also live on the internet and pre broadcasted on Cable tv and radio international.

Does any one know any companys i can maybe get free demo cd`s or tapes specially in the music of rap teckno, and reggae???

If you want to hear christian music (or any kind of music) for free there are a bazillion internet radio stations. Live 365 is a good resource.

If you want to hear good music, then support the artists you consider to be good by buying their product. This is the only way a record label can judge a band's value. Those that don't sell enough get cut.

actually that is most of what they play. Live365.com has a bazillion stations of every format. Just do a search and you'll get a thousand techno stations....
