Coldplay is another band I would LOVE to see.

(If you are Canadian and you get the chance to see Blue Rodeo, by all means PLEASE do go see them. I was never a fan, but my mother is, and her and my father had tickets to go see them but dad got really sick and couldnt go. Since they are mom;s fav band, I couldnt let her miss the show, so I sucked it up and went with her. Let me tell yoU I left the show a fan. They were sooooo amazing live. The energy is incredible!!)

Hey Candice, Blue Rodeo should be kicking up their tour again in our area soon.. if you know, let me know, if i know, I'll let you know.

Coldplay's new album comes out June-ish-ish I think( UK time, their june our october or whatever ridiculous amount of time we have to wait until after its released across the pond)... those boys are going to be touring again ( let's hope he leaves the wifey and the baby'what's'ername-'Plum'?' at home!)

:D Orange  LOL

As for Blue Rodeo, apparently their tour dates are already up. I was talking to mom and she said that they are playing back home (on the east) the beginning of May.

I will have to check it out though.
Have you seen them?

Oh and I had NO IDEA that Coldplay was releasing another album. Oh this is gonna be a good year for music *drool*

I really don't like a lot of Christian music, either, but there is one Christian guy who's playing music in the secular realm. He's really big in the indie scene. From a fellow Radiohead lover, check out Sufjan Stevens. He's quite similar to Neutral Milk Hotel, which happens to be another Christian guy in the secular music world (Jeff Mangum).

I wasn't aware that Jeff Magnum was christian, but I do like several NMH songs.

My friend burned me a cd with a few Sufjan songs on it, all of which I enjoyed. I'm just upset that she didn't share the whole cd with me. :sigh:

I'm only assuming as much because in his song "King of Carrot Flowers Pts. 2-3" he repeats "I love you Jesus Christ". In the notes in his album book he explains that he sings what he means.

Sufjan owns. Not only is he good, but his album "Seven Swans" is like a praise and worship album -- but good music.

Dashboard Confessional are always an amazing concert.

Probably the best concert I've ever been to as far as energy go are Matt Nathanson [ http://www.mattnathanson.com ] concerts. That dude is SERIOUSLY funny, and his concerts are always a blast.

I also highly recommend Lyle Lovett and His Large Band, Goo Goo Dolls and Brand New.

Aw, music. I love you.

I would probably have to say BW&BK 2, which hosted three days of heavy metal bands. The likes of: Grave Digger, Doro, Metal Church, Primal Fear, Seven Witches, Ion Vein, Flotsam and Jetsam, Brainstorm, Destructor and many, many more.

probably the best show i've ever been to was the first time i saw anathallo. i can't even remember who played with them, but their live show blew me out of the water. they're just so earnest. seeing aireline play with cool hand luke last year was great, too, though. i went for cool hand luke, but aireline was who caught my attention that night.

Ooh...an Anathallo fan? I saw them a couple years ago, and had a chance to see them two weeks ago, but a midterm got in the way. :sigh: They are great live though.
