I tried for a long time to get this photo of the geese and I never did get the photo. So when I got home I was surprised to see this photo. I asked my wife and she said she remembered taking the picture. She only had the camera for a few minutes and somehow managed to get the photo I could not get.

Figures, doesn't it! lol
She did get a great shot though!

1) Here's one that I took last fall during a business trip with my dad to Arizona. It's a semi-finalist in the International Amateur Photography contest (picture.com) and will be featured in their upcoming book. Constructive criticism is always appreciated here! I have a lot to learn.
2) Also a semi-finalist, but I don't like this one as much. I just used a couple of reading lamps for lighting, and a macro lens (obviously!).
(this is my first time posting a picture, so forgive me if this doesn't work!)

1st) Very cool. How did you get everything to black out like that?
2nd) This is my favorite. It shows off your artistic eye.
3rd) Okay, this one is gorgeous, but it confuses me a little. What's up with the guy standing in front? He's way out of proportion. Did you photoshop him in or something?
4th) Interesting picture. I like the cold look of it. The only thing that bothers me is the shadow in the lower right corner. Still a cool pict, though...

Very pretty Pictures...

I just take pics for fun... Occassionally I get some good ones... This one (1) isn't much for winning awards but it is one of my favorites...

1.) I call it "A Bloom of a different Sort."
2.) This one is of the first lily to bloom in my yard...

I didn't photoshop him. The camera is about a 1' off the ground and the building about 20' from him.

4th) Interesting picture. I like the cold look of it. The only thing that bothers me is the shadow in the lower right corner. Still a cool pict, though...

The shadow is of a barn to the right of the photo and I can never manage to get rid of it without it looking terrable.
