Best Drawn?

How about this: there are threads about your favorite manga, or favorite anime, but what about the animation itself? No matter what the story or plot is, or what you may think about the concept or execution of the series or movies themselves, which ones do you think boast the best, highest-quality animation?

I'd say, so far, the Gundam Wing Endless Waltz movie edition, Cowboy Bebop, and .hack//sign's "offline" segments. I haven't seen as much as everyone else here

I hesitate to use the phrase "best drawn" because that throws the criteria into question. so I'll put it this way: Some anime in which I really enjoyed the art (note: animes on this list do not necessarily mean that they were actually good).

1. Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away (well, pretty much anything by Miyazaki, but these two stand out)
2. Whispers of the Heart - not a very popular movie, but the animation in the fantasy sequence was amazing.
3. Last Exile - great blending of 3-D CG and "normal" animation.
4. Gundam Wing & Gundam Zero

ummm... I'm drawing a complete blank on other stuffs...

I have the first DVD of the American release, yes. But I prefer the animation in the Love Hina manga more than the anime.

I can't think of any place that has only "clean/safe" anime for download. Animesuki has a little details button that you can use to find a little background info on each series.

You're just going to have to do a little research on the shows you want to watch.

One of my favourite animes is Fooly Cooly (FLCL), which just happens to be the best drawn as well.

Personally I think the best animation, when talking strictly about visual details, in an anime I've seen is in Macross Zero OVA and Operation Yukikraze. Both have incredible animation and cumputer graphics.

The most well drawn manga on the other hand would be Blade of the Immortal. This is mainly because I like the drawing style.
