it's great! but it's too sad. There's no way i'm gonna watch it a second time.

I know what you mean. It's been years since I first watched Grave of the Fireflies and I still can't bare to watch it a second time. I've yet to view any other anime that even comes close in terms of emotional impact.

Bebop did not end. They are in the works of continuing it. A few of my friends that are way more into anime then i am found some anime site that was talking about it. They said that they are thinking about it. It may happen and it may not happen. They said as long as Spike is alive they will try to continue it.

I thought Spike died at the end of The Real Folk Blues though....

Spike did die, but the Cowboy Bebop continuation does not have Spike in it. Its mainly a story about Ed.

Really good OVA, one of the best! The tragic past of Kenshin. So much better than the Kenshin second "Seissouhen" OAV or whatever it's called.

Have you seen the whole thing? It's really good until ep 65 or something and then the storyline of the anime departs from the manga, that it does .

Rurouni Kenshin would have been my favourite anime if they stopped making it when they caught up with the manga.

Unfortunately, no, I haven't seen the whole series. But I am slowly working on owning all the episodes on VHS. I have the first 3 tapes already (first 12 episodes). But I've seen up to the end of the Kyoto ark, I think that’s what it’s called anyway.

As far as Samurai X goes, I have seen it either (how can I call myself a fan *shakes head*) but from what I've heard, its awesome. But veteran Kenshin fans where upset at the title. I'm not clear on why.

Then you've seen as much as is worth seeing. The Koyto arc is really, REALLY good and well worth collecting (though I've only watched it on my computer, the broke student I am) . So, I'll give you a friendly warning, the series takes a sky dive from there and hits rock bottom. As a fellow Kenshin fan I know you're still gonna want to watch the rest anyway, but do watch the rest before you buy them . If you want to know the "real" ending (everything that happens after the kyoto arc) get the mangas!

You bet I'll collect the mangas! I got the first one for Christmas. I was really excited when Viz finally came out with them, I can't read Japanese (unfortunately) so I had to wait for them to come out in English!!!

Can't read Japanese either... But I will learn to (sooner or later ). I read the scanslations before it got licenced. Best manga I've read so far . Hope it'll make it's way to Sweden one day *sigh*

Yup, the manga is happier but it also makes a lot more sense than the movie ending. Ties up all the loose ends which the movie fails to do.

Not sure if they are the Japanese names but the first Kenshin OVAs are also called "Trust" and "Betrayal", ne?

It was the title that Sony was originally going to use for the TV series, which apparently they mangled and horribly dubbed (and which Sony never released). That ADV hasassociated their release of the OAVs with the mangled TV dub by Sony is probably the reason some fans are upset with it.

That, and there are also anime fans who don't want any part of the original to be changed at all (the title, character names, etc).

Now, the rurouni kenshin movie, what is that? Is it a part of Samurai X? A bridge in-between Samurai X and Rurouni Kenshin? Is it a completely different side story? Just curious.
