Peace in Christ.
Again, the sign of the presence of the Son of man appears/shines within our own hearts when He….the genuine Jesus Christ…. speaks to us.
It appears/shines in the “heaven”…in the hearts of those who are focusing on things above: love, peace, joy, kindness, etc (who are citizens of Heaven here on earth). Those wo dwell upon the earth (envy, strife, wrath, etc) will mourn what they hear.
"appear" = phainō : "Prolongation for the base of G5457; to lighten (shine), that is, show (transitive or intransitive, literal or figurative): - appear, seem, be seen, shine, X think."
Mat 24:30
(30) And then shall appear (phaino: SHINE) the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
By this appearing/shining within our hearts, we shall know that this is the only begotten Son of God whom we are to hear when He speaks the Word of Truth (as opposed to the word of men who preach their “private interpretations” of the Scriptures).
Earthly-thinking men preach another “son”…. “another jesus” a decoy jesus in their private interpretations. The proof of the true Son of God speaking to our hearing ears is within us and is the witness of God of His Son whom we are to hear.
The “day star”…that is, the MORNING STAR…arises within our hearts when we take heed on how we hear ….doing His righteousness towards what we hear Him saying. We respond to the light with light…and that light gets elevated to the point where there will no longer be any darkness within.
2Pe 1:19-20 KJV
(19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
(20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
The light shines/breaks forth in a dark, obscure place: our own darkened hearts. Our hearts do not have His knowledge...but when we hear it, it shines within.
The day star is to be then elevated in our hearts by the casting off of the works of darkness: the wrath, envy, strife, contentions, hatred, etc. We respond to the light with light....becoming "children of light".
The Son of man is “lifted up”…elevated…within us by dying to sin. Jesus is the Way. He shows us the way: to die to sin . This is the “death” that we should “die”.
Joh 12:32-35 KJV
(32) And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
(33) This he said, signifying what death he should die.
(34) The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
The light….the luminous rays within our heart….is with us and is proof from God that this is His Son whom we are to hear as He opens up the Scriptures to our hearing ears.
We must walk in righteousness while we have His light lest the darkness comes upon us. That light can go down instead of being lifted up by our own unbelief in it.
(35) Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
We are to believe in the light and become “children of the light” by doing His righteousness towards what we hear Him saying in the Spirit of Truth. Let there be light….and there was light.
Joh 12:36 KJV
(36) While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
If we do not respond to His light with light (with works of His righteousness), then the “darkness” comes upon us so that we cannot even believe in judgment for our unbelief.
Joh 12:38-41 KJV
(38) That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
(39) Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
(40) He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
(41) These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
We are to hear and “awake out of sleep”. Our salvation is nearer than when we believed as earthly-minded men have changed the times of our salvation. It is not after we die and go to heaven but is NOW in this mortal body that we are living in. Salvation is NOW.
Rom 13:11-12 KJV
(11) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
We must hear and cast off the works of darkness (the envy, strife, contentions, wrath, etc) and let us put on the armor of light….manifesting our faith with good works towards the light.
(12) The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
In the parable of the regeneration of man, the “evening and the morning” refers to our darkened hearts (the "evening") that are breaking forth with the “dawning” of the "morning" of the light. It continues to progressively elevate (Day 1, 2, 3…) until the darkness is no more (on Day 7).
Gen 1:5 KJV
(5) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
The light will then be as the light of seven days as there will be no more night within us.
Isa 30:26 KJV
(26) Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
God called the light Day ….and we are children of the Day when we respond to the appearing light within us with light….with works of righteousness.
1Th 5:5-6 KJV
(5) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
(6) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
