Before Paul was born again, he said that he had been "" blameless in the law.""

He had kept it, and later found that Christianity is not based on that,..... and discovered that in his inner man there is a tremendous conflict that occurs if he tried to strive to be holy in his flesh, (self effort)(law keeping)...., as this SELF Righteousness.... warred against the knowledge regarding who he had become in Christ. (The Renewed Mind).
This "war" was happening in his HEAD, and He had to get his MIND right to find deliverance.

So do you, if you are born again and not just water baptized and religious.

Paul teaches this place of correct faith, as "renewing your MIND".

Paul realized that in his body, his flesh, his natural mind (the carnal mind) = is no good thing, and to try to live the life of a Christian was actually void of any power from God, if you try to do it by self effort and striving to be good. Or as Jesus told us..."apart from me you can do NOTHING".
Reader, if you want to fail at Discipleship, then all you have to do is try to keep commandments, and law, and try to be like Christ, as your Performance that you believe is "real faith" and "real Christianity".
If you do that, you'll be a sinning and confessing and REPEAT = discipleship failure.

Paul learned that he was eternally made righteous by the sacrificial blood and death of Jesus on The Cross.... and learned to live in holiness according to "i can do all through Christ".
That understanding freed him from himself, his natural mind, his "flesh".... and enlisted the renewed mind of real faith that he discovered accesses the Power of Christ, so that he then remained here..."Christ always gives me the Victory"... over flesh, the world, and the devil.
All believers are to come to this unity of the Faith, this same renewed mind., which allows the believer deliverance from self righteousness that drives carnality and leads to works of the flesh and condemnation, and that confessing issue.
Paul teaches that when you are in that Renewed mind of real faith, you are become...>"As many as be Perfect".

After Paul was born again he wrote most of the Epistles in the New Testament, and never once did he state that he confessed sin.
Not once did Paul write that he ever confessed even one sin.
Why?
Because He had no sin, as Christ was made sin for Him, and the Cross redeemed Paul and all the born again from their sin..... so, what was left to deal with was a mind that wants to try to misunderstand God's righteousness.
Didnt take him long to get that revelation...., and from that point he was always this...= "Christ always gives me the Victory", and when you have Victory you are not found talking about Sin and losing Salvation..., you are found talking about GRACE....God Amazing Grace....= and that is Paul's "Gospel of the GRACE of God".

Paul wrote Romans 4:8.... that teaches that because Christ has bore all our sin, and we are made righteous, God does not charge sin against the born again.
Paul wrote 2 Corinthians 5:19 that explains the Amazing Grace of God.
And what is that?
= God has already judged Jesus for the sin of us all, and applied this redemption, this BLOOD ATONEMENT to the Born agian... that is gained by Christ's Sacrifice upon all who have believed and are born again.
The born again are "made free from sin", and are become "the righteousness of God in Christ".

Reader if you are born again, then Christ has your sin, died for it, and left it in the Grave. He rose again without it, and you did also when you were born again, "in Christ', "one with God". "made Righteous"...= as a "new Creation IN Christ".

Confessing sin that Christ has paid for 2000 yrs ago, happens because the person does not understand Salvation, or the New Birth, or what happened on the Cross of Christ that Jesus said from the Cross...= "it is finished".

When you get the revelation : "made righteous" = ""God made Christ to be sin for us"", so that believers would “become the righteousness of God.” .... "in Christ". = When you get that revelation as the Renewed Mind..., then your "confession" is over. The Condemnation is GONE.... and your VICTORY has begun. and that is the first day you have "worked out your Salvation" because your mind is renewed by that revelation and Truth.

The reason that Paul never wrote a verse in any of His epistles that said that he "confessed sin", is because he understood :

"God hath made Jesus to be sin for us".

"Jesus is the one time eternal sacrifice for sin"

" Blessed are the born again, to whom God will not charge sin".

"""" God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins agains them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.""""

Also,

Paul understood that its the Law that defines you as a sinner, and the Born again, "are not under the Law, but under GRACE".
