Ok, out of curiosity, why do people assume that the EU is part of the antichrist? I'm going to hope that the reason is more substantial than "because it's a union of several states."

Even if it does go the way of the Antichrist, does that rule it out from being a good thing for now? (arguable, I know, expansionism and CAP aside, but hey, it was formed from the ashes of WW2)

Good questions. There are some very good articles and studies available if your interested. For example: The EU has chosen some icons to represent them that are so close to symbolizing the prophecy of "the woman riding the best" in revelations it seems far beyond coincidence

Right now its a good thing, from the perspective of bringing together for a common good a collection of nations that traditionally haven't "played well and made nice" together. I have no issues with the EU now. I'm saying it is the kind of union that will lend itself to the "10 heads" of the antichrist at a later date. Its like the number "666" ... now, its just a number. Then, something far more treacherous.

Geography is another reason, remember that it is called the revised Roman empire.
