Seriously - my husband is the most gentle, kind, yet non-doormat-ish person I've ever met. He'll put up with practically anything from me if he knows it's something I'm working on, and that it wasn't meant specifically to upset/annoy him. He shows interest in my innumerable little schemes (including my recent foray into fictional blogging). He's constantly working at being a better husband. He's awesome

I love being married

For once a positive post about a great marriage!

My marriage is also aweomse. I am been married for 17 year with 3 blessed children and lead a marriage enrichment ministry.

The key which you discovered is having 'Jesus' the center of the marriage. Here are the keys that has made our marriage great.

1. Keeping Jesus number one!
2. Praying and reading the bible together.
3. Involved in church ministry as a couple.
4. Being part of a marriage couples small group.

InTheFlame, your husband sounds wonderful. Mine doesn't understand my love for all things computer, he doesn't get my poetry most of the time (except for the ones specifically about him), and he doesn't understand how I can be in the middle of reading four books at once ... but he allows me to have my fun.

Yes!

But in all honesty, I know of few, if any, married people who have sex everyday, twice a day, unless they are newlywed...or lying. Perhaps you're the first.

Ok, I have only been married for 14 months, but I love it also!! My husband is so good to me. Sometimes I feel bad because he does so much for me, and cares for me and I feel like I don't do the same for him all the time. But we have so much fun together doing anything from going to church to having a lazy day at home. And believe me, we know how to make the best of our time since we are a Navy family. I just love him, and being married so much!! Don't know if I have been married long enough to pose this but Im gonna anyways....lol

What is great about my marriage? Let's see:

God is there
Coffee in bed basically every morning of my life (seriously, 3 years and he missed maybe a handful of mornings)
Getting to spend every spare moment with my best friend
My husband's sense of humour
He does his best to be the best husband he can be
Waking up next to him, when he's still asleep, and watching him for a while
We have a lot of shared interests and sharing what I like to do with the person I love best is fantastic!

I could go on and on...

I agree with the OP - being married is GREAT! Even when you don't have sex every day any more lol!

Yep i LOVE being married too!!! I have been married just under 2 years (2mths under) i have the most loving understanding husband in the world (sorry ladies! ) i thank God for him!!! I would never want to be without him (we have only spent 2 nights away from each other since we have been married and i did not enjoy them at all! lol) God is so good and has blessed us so much, with each other.

And yes, there is plentiful sex after marriage. That was God's plan all along.

I just want to say that I have a wonderful marriage. Let me tell you why: my marriage is so wonderful God set statutes and commandments to protect it and is fighting a battle for me and my husband to save our marriage! My husband, though he hasn't physically commited adultery, he has in his heart. God, by a sequence of non-coincidental happenings, has brought this problem out of darkness and into the light. I have a husband who wants to change and learn how to remain faithful to me and escape the bondage of lust and an adulterous heart so that he may spend the rest of his life with me and Sing praises to God for eternity!

I praise God for the man he blessed me with! He is such a servant a spiritual leader who seeks after the Lord and His will for not just his life but our life together. He is my best friend! I think the best thing about our marriage is that we can laugh and have fun together, sense of humor in marriage is such a vital thing IMO. As we are TTC we need a sense of humor that's for sure! We also minister together as we are college ministers to inner city young adults and that has been such a blessing to us as well, ministry together is something that has certainly incorporated the Lord in our marriage that much more as we see the amazing things He is doing in these kids lives.

Marriage is under such a attack these days, many do not even last after the first year so we praise the Lord DAILY for what we have, He has blessed us beyond comprehension.
