Jesus said, love thy neighbour. And if they follow Christ, in my opinion, it does not matter what sexuallity they are.

I'm new, and finally had the time to read this whole thread. In another forum where I am a member, this thread would have been locked and/or deleted after page one. Glad it's not that way here.
Please don't bash a 64 year old woman, and not gay, and an elder in the faith, having walked with Jesus over 30 years. But I agree with davedjy. This subject has been on my heart for some time now. I have researched it, spoken with gay Christians, and have found the scholarship to be very accurate on this, matching both dave and his church link.

dave- allow me to clarify a point that may be lost in our fast paced and sometimes heated discussion-
I think you are my brother in Christ, and I pray that you stay that way. I am glad you are on fire for Jesus, and I stand beside you as a sinner, also with some tough sins in my life. I do not mean to come off as a hypocrite- and if I have- please know that isnt my intention. Im no better than you, and I consider it a humble honor that Jesus died for me, and you. The reason I am in earnest about this topic, is that I believe you may be deceived, and as my brother in Christ, it pains me to see it. You may have noticed I am a tenacious sort- and allow me a shameless plug if you will- which kind of christian would you want looking out for you?
I think it is more important to be right in our beliefs- even if the right thing is the hardest thing. Anybody and everybody has a personal opinion- what matters is if it is right or not. Its not that this topic is any more important than any other sin- because to me it isnt, the difference for me, is that my brother doesnt believe it to be sin.
Hopefully, that will clear a few things up on where Im coming from.
