I believe that they've hired Olmos for at least three seasons, so why would they kill off his character?

What about it? They need it for unlocking the secret to finding earth. Don't know exactly how it will do that though.

I'm sure he will survive. The finale was a surprise to me, the President is in jail, Adama shot, Starbuck on her home planet... I'm trying to decide if Adama is a Cylon....

This series is so much better than the original. The squabbles that Adama and the president have make it seriously a lot better. The fact that they are so petty is what makes the series so interesting. If there were less than 50,000 humans left, I'd hope we could get along.

They just boiled over in the finale.

They did his blood test already in episode 9. But it doesn't matter since Baltar is saying everyone passed no matter what the real results are.

Lt. Gaetta is a Cylon.
