The Beatles! Absolutely no contest. They produced some of the best pop ever in their earlier years and then moved on to become one of the most origional and inventive bands ever. They are still icons over 30 years later and show no signs of losing that status.

Nickleback are an OK grungey/metaly/rock band like many others who have done one better then OK song and will almost certainly have been forgotten in ten years time.

I am not being partisan here - in general I much prefer grunge/metal/heavy rock etc to sixties pop... but come on guys there really can only be one choice here.

What is up with this combination? These two bands have nothing alike. I guess my vote goes to the Beatles though, even though they aren't particularly great. They've at least got Nickelback beat though.

Yes, well, if you must, shoot me now. I don't understand the high regard the Beatles are held in, because whenever I listen to their music, I get absolutely nothing from it and I'm not very impressed by it. There's a lot I'd rather listen to.

Yeah, Beatles songs are the easiest to play....but they all (well most of them....theres some real **** in the later years) sound great. And I can understand if it was some other band vs. the Beatles....but Nickelback???

Anyway, lets have a duel in the streets...I will meet you at high noon...
