Bats and bugs

I was setting here watching some survival show of which there is no shortage of now days and there was a scene of a bunch of bugs flying in the air and then later a scene of a bat flying thru the air and it made me wonder.

Were bats and frogs and snakes invented to keep the bug population down or were bugs invented to feed bats and frogs and snakes?

Everything has a purpose. Insects are what keep the earth functioning. They process/recycle organic material, pollinate plants, and provide food for other animals. Even pests have their place in God's creation. Much of the world's human population obtain a large percentage of their dietary protein from insects. Not all bats eat insects. Some eat fruit and other plant material. Some "cut" another animal and lick up the blood. They even have an anti-coagulant in their saliva to prevent the blood from clotting.

I think they come under the category of creeping things...but I do know that frogs and snakes are wild creatures and not particuarly nice ones in the goodbook, although the French eat frogs and the Chinese are known to eat snakes. But I dont know that humans werent really created just to eat other creatures.
Theres also lions that eat everyone. Why?

Their larval form provides food for fish and other aquatic animals.

Then they are invented to feed animals and have no other use.

In a hierarchy, or food chain, bats , frogs, and snakes preceded insects, but not by much as the insects are a main source of food for the former. Besides being food for other creatures, some insects are needed to aid in the pollination of plants, too.

The food chain starts somewhere. Mosquitos are food for animals, and animals (humans too) are food for mosquitos.
