I believe Justification verses just fine. I do not read them in the same way you do (with you taking verses out of context). Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4:3-5, Romans 4:8, Titus 3:5 are all dealing with:

"Initial Salvation" or "Foundational Salvation." (Which is being saved by God's grace without the deeds of the Law) by faith in Jesus Christ.

Being saved by God's grace is the 1st Process of Salvation, and it is not at the expense of Sanctification (Holy Living by God's power) which follows after one is saved by God's grace.

Romans 4:8 says, "Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin."

The context does not say you can continue in sin so that grace may abound. Paul already tells us in the context in Romans 6 this:

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. ..." (Romans 6:1-2).
God's grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and that we should live righteously and godly in this present world (Titus 2:11-12).
Does your version of grace teach the same thing?

Hebrews 10:26 says that if we willfully sin after we receive the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sin.

#1. Trying to be saved by Law ALONE Salvationism
(Without God's grace).
#2. Trying to be saved by the 613 Laws of Moses.​

#1. Justification (Initial Salvation, and or Foundational Salvation).

Justification is the entrance gate to salvation, and it is the foundation of our salvation (by faith) upon which we stand. Justification is believing that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and had risen again three days later on your behalf, and accepting Jesus as your Savior, and seeking forgiveness of your sins with Him by way of prayer. This process of salvation is without the deeds of the Law or works because it is based upon God’s mercy and grace. As a result: One is born again spiritually (Note: Born again by the Spirit, and born again by water (i.e. the Scriptures - Romans 10:17, 1 Peter 1:23)). (For Justification verses, see: Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4:1-6, Titus 3:4-7, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Luke 18:9-14, Romans 5:1-2).

#2. Sanctification (The Next Step or Phase in the Salvation Process).
(The 2nd synergistic work of God done in a believer).

Sanctification is the next step or phase in Salvation for a believer who lives out their faith; This is the work of God moving in a believer's life so as to help them to live holy, and to do good works and to put away the lusts of the flesh. These good works are the works of God done through the believer, and so all boasting or praise is given to the Lord. Therefore, there is no boasting in one's own work (because they are ultimately the works of God done through the believer. (For Sanctification verses, see: James 2:24, James 2:17-18, Titus 1:16, Hebrews 5:9, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Hebrews 12:14, Romans 8:1 (KJV), 1 Corinthians 16:22, Romans 8:13, etc.).

Also, to make a belief work that says we can commit grievous sin and still be saved, one has to ignore the many warnings in Scripture against those grievous sins that can lead to spiritual death, too.

The Bible’s teaching that serious sin is separation from GOD:

[God said to Adam,]
"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." (Genesis 2:17).

[Eve said to the serpent,]
"But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. (Genesis 3:3).

And the serpent said unto the woman,
"Ye shall not surely die." (Genesis 3:4).

"...she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked..." (Genesis 3:6-7).

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." (Romans 5:12).

"For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23).

"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." (Isaiah 59:2).

“...whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.” (Matthew 5:22).

Important Note: If you were to look at 1 Thessalonians 4:3 you would learn that the will of God (i.e. the Father) is to be holy or it is our sanctification; And Hebrews 12:14 says, without holiness no man shall see the Lord.

When I speak of how we must obey God's laws: I am referring primarily to how we must obey those commands in the New Testament, and not the Old Testament. Things like the Saturday Sabbath, circumcision, dietary laws, the Passover, etc. are ceremonial laws that are no longer binding upon the life of the believer today under the New Covenant. We should focus on obeying those commands that come from Jesus and His followers.

Paul said in Galatians that if you teach that you are to by self effort try to keep yourself saved, that you are "fallen from Grace" and "in the flesh".

Its acceptable to teach that we are to use the commandments, as our moral compass, but we are never to teach that by keeping these same, we are accepted by God.

You can keep all the commandments, all the Law, and die and go to hell, because all that you did has no way to give you the righteousness that God requires you to have.
God gives you "the righteousness of Christ"< because you can't get this from keeping the TORAH or any of the COMMANDMENTS.
Jesus never told you to keep his commandments so that you would be SAVED by doing it.

Paul is preaching to HEBREWS, who are unsaved JEWS in the epistle to the HEBREWS.
If you read Chapters 4,6, and 10, you'll note that he is preaching the GOSPEL that these unsaved HEBREWS< in the epistle to the HEBREWS, are rejecting.
Paul would not be preaching the Gospel to the BORN AGAIN.
But He would be preaching it, in the epistle to the Hebrews, to UNSAVED HEBREWS, who did reject it.
He did the very same thing to more unsaved HEBREWS in Acts 28.
Read the last 10 verses in Acts 28
Its the same as in Hebrews 4,6 and 10.

No. That is not what Paul said. He says, "Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace." in Galatians 5:4. But look at the context. In Galatians 5:2, Paul says if you seek to be circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.

This means that Paul is referring to the Old Law (or the Law of Moses) as a whole or contract or package deal (the 613 laws given to Israel), and Paul was not referring to the commands given to us by Jesus and His followers. Circumcision is clearly of the Law of Moses and not the commands given to us in the New Testament. So you are not only taking this verse out of context, but you are misquoting to your own advantage, as well. Galatians 5:4 does not say, "if you teach that you are to by self effort try to keep yourself saved, that you are "fallen from Grace"" That is your assertion that does not exist in the Bible.

Well, you must have gotten this idea from a commentator and or Pastor and not by reading the actual Bible. For Hebrews 3 says this:

12 "Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;" (Hebrews 3:12-14).

The author of Hebrews says "WE" in verse 14. He says we are made partakers of Christ IF we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end. This means we are to keep the faith that we once had from the beginning with Christ. We are to do this until the end.

Hebrews 10 says,

23 "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised; )
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."​

Verse 23 says "Let US hold fast the profession of our faith. The author is including himself in the faith here.

Verse 24, the author then says let US consider to provoke one another unto love and good works. He is talking to believers here because unbelievers cannot have the love of God and neither can they do the good works of God.

Verse 25 is also written to believers because the author of Hebrews tells those in whom he is writing to not to forsake the assembling themselves together (as the manner of some others do).

I can say the same of you. But if you must know I am not big on reading commentaries anymore. I will sometimes but very rarely. Most of my study is just reading and believing what the Bible plainly says and by comparing Scripture with Scripture.

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Luke 10
27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbour as yourself.’ ”


Sweet, simple and I don't think a person would go too far wrong if they held to those 3. I will leave the rest of you to argue the details.

I believe the gospel just fine. I believe the gospel is how we are initially and ultimately saved (Which can include seeking forgiveness with the Lord Jesus Christ). 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 tells us that the gospel believing Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and He was risen three days later on our behalf for salvation. We have to continue to believe this in order to be saved. But if that is all you think you have to do, then you are not looking at the whole counsel of God's Word. You need to accept 1 John 3:10, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Titus 1:16, Hebrews 12:14, and James 2:24, as well.

Jesus is Salvation.
If you try to add to HIM your self effort, then you are not trusting in Christ alone.

Here is how to test yourself to find out if you are actually walking by faith.

Just answer this......"what are you trusting in to get you to heaven".

If your answer is anything except "JESUS", then your faith is wrong.
