  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I agree. The ability to question God and continue to believe in Him takes much more faith than blind adherence.

In other words, you don't have to turn off your brain in order to follow God. You're allowed to think critically about issues of the faith and even question God and His actions.

Most of the people who try to register on T4C are rejected by weird ol' Bro. Randy because he finds their user names suspicious. He claimed to have reported FSTDT "to the FBI" for trolling his site for quotes.

:D :D :D Ok that is too funny for words. Really people need a life, my goodness. :swoon:

As a Buddhist, I learned to be thankful in all things, that your worst enemy is your best teacher.

What did I learn?
To return curse with blessing, to not respond in anger, to think twice not just about what I said, but about what I thought, to be thankful even when I was attacked, to show mercy and compassion, and to see the harm in others that makes them lash out, and grant forgiveness.

Namaste

Blessed be, Beanieboy.

This post pierced my consciousness like a bullet as I read it, especially the parts I bolded (above). The part about your worst enemy being your best teacher.

I'm dealing with a situation with a (I thought) friend of 3 years, where something went wrong and now he is blaming me for what happened, and saying that he wants nothing to do with me, that the friendship is over, etc. In fact, he had a rather substantial hand in how things have turned out, but won't admit it.

This was right before I got interested in Wicca (it was the catalyst in fact). The last 3 weeks of study has all been philosophy (The Rede, the Three-Fold Law, Karma) and not out-right practice, and it's ALL been stuff he used to talk to me about. I was bending to this mindset for 3 years from our conversations, and it turns out that it's the backbone of the religion I want to practice!

I guess this is my way of saying "thanks" for posting this!
