There are some really disturbing laws that the Australian Government is attempting to bring in on both a Federal and State level. The laws are aimed at preventing people from expressing opinions that run contrary to the government's narrative. Hate laws in Queensland could see a person jailed for up to three years for expressing a view deemed hateful. We only have to look at the case of Israel Falou to see a mainstream Christian view on homosexuality is deemed hateful by the media, and government. So Christians holding traditional views of marriage, and God’s judgment of hell could be jailed for up to three years if they post their view. On a federal level government is attempting to bring in laws that aim to have so-called "misinformation" removed from the internet by fining social media companies and other online companies that currently allow free speech, if they allow any content deemed misinformation. This is a clear case of the government not allowing any “thought” different from its own. See the following petitions that have been created on the issue, they explain it in more detail.
