MUTATION: Aura has the power to manipulate light as well as darkness and use them as weapons. She can also fly, hence the dark wings. Her wings are retractable, however, and unless she opens them there's no trace that they're even there.

HISTORY: Aura grew up with no knowledge of her powers. When she was born her parents were concerned because of her abnormally pale skin and blue hair. They took to a doctor, who told them she was a mutant. Although they still loved her, they decided to never tell her of her powers. Despite her looks, Aura had no suspicions. She was relatively popular in school and had many friends. Her best friend was a boy who lived next door to her named Joaquin. He was a year older than she, but they'd been best friends for years.
In school it was an unspoken fact that Aura and Joaquin would marry one day. Sure enough, on her eighteenth birthday he purposed and she accepted. They agreed to have a lengthy engagement. After one year her parents could no longer stand the guilt, and they told her the truth about her she was. Aura was shocked. The knowledge explained a few questions she'd kept unspoken. They also told her that she was going to attend an FBI Academy for mutants. At first she was excited, and wanted to tell Joaquin, when her parents informed her that she could never see Joaquin again. Aura refused to go to the academy, but her parents had already contacted Joaquin and told him he could never again see their daughter. Aura was heartbroken. Her parents forced her to go the academy, and because she had nothing left, she went.
