  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, I joined this forum too see if I could find someone willing to split gas with me to see Audio Adrenaline at the Sonshine Festival in Wilmar MN. I live in Saskatoon, SK Canada. The festival starts on the 12th. I have access to a minivan that could seat 6.

I have been a christian about 3 weeks.

Well, I went. I could not find anyone to split the gas so I put it on credit. We packed up the two kids and drove 14 hours to get there. The first day was super hot but we got to see a few acts at least. Then a storm blew in (along with Tornado warnings!). We got lucky, our tent stood the test (although it leaked). Quite a few people's tents and belongings got scattered every where. (I have never SEEN so many tents in one place before! ). That nights acts were cancelled. The next day was hot again. We ended up losing our youngest at the festival and she ended up at the police station. Audio A's performance was sub-standard (he had a cold or something, and the sound was shot).

...but it was a great experience!

I walked through 'tent city' which was filled with young people: No drinking, no drugs, no swearing. People were polite to each other, respectful of each other. Not exactly a 'rock concert' environment! People of all ages and all walks of life were there enjoying the music.

And the music! Whatever you liked, it was there. There were even thrash metal bands, complete with mosh pits! I'm not into that, but I think it's great seeing all the different way's people express themselves. (Also, EVERYONE coming out of that concert, young or old was smiling!).
