I've never had a job where I felt I couldn't talk about religion. To say I can't talk about religion is to say I can't be myself. Now I'm not the type to go around and talk about my faith, evangelize at work, or plop a Bible down and act like I'm the most holy person in the world. But I have been completely out of line a few times, because I have a way of saying what is on my mind. One time I asked a lady ,who just started working, if her husband had repented of his sins since it sounded like he didn't have long to live. Offended, yes. But we got along quite well.
I've never worked in a blue collar job though. Now there is an area which takes a different type of person than me. I'm not sure I could tell a Christian how to respond in a blue collar job because I don't have high expectations for the non Christians in those fields. Talk about anything goes. That's anything goes.
