Which proves that we are ALL sinners and no one is more capable or less capable of sin than the other. However, it is significant in my pov that Christians on this board are screaming for exclusion and will stoop to anything to achieve that.

I wasn't mocking your Lord, merely the notion that He was actively running this forum. Fine, God is not democratic. But the issue at hand is how His followers should be working together. In that context, 'God is not democratic' seems suspiciously like a more palatable way of saying 'just do things the way I think they should be done.'

Yes you are asking CF to change it's mission and it has already been reflected by the rules that I have already posted. and if you look above it is not ONLY Conservatives that feel this way..... so please stop blaming all of this on us as though we are the only ones that are at fault and putting up some sort of barrier when we are only doing as we are taught to do in defending God to begin with.

I can give you plenty of examples:

• Christians who have influenced polls by using sock accounts
• Christians who have attacked other Christians because of differing beliefs
• Christians who have attacked non-believers because of differing beliefs
• Christians who have slandered other Christians with personal information that never should have been released on this site.
• Christians who have lied about other Christians who were attempting to serve as leaders in the development of rules
• Christians who published lists of "True Christians" because of public voting.

That's downright bloody HEINOUS. And I've been on the receiving end of all sorts myself AND witnessed it in action (and gotten in trouble for trying as gently as possible to stop it). When people get it into their heads that THEY ARE RIGHT and YOU are WRONG and it is THEIR job PERSONALLY either to sort you out or to see to it you can't have even ONE MOLECULE of air to breathe freely, things get ugly ... and I'm sick of the ugly, and the hate ... and the self-righteous denial of it people telling ME the problem is I won't "forgive". RUBBISH!

THe problem with IPs is that they are not static (well, most of them) and some services such as AOL use a bank of dynamic IP addresses. That is why it is nearly impossible to IP ban some accounts, because one IP address may be used by many accounts in a rotating pool of dynamic IP addresses.

The notion - however sarcastic - to invite God here and let him give his notion on this thread was greated with disgust.

But how then do you suppose the non-democratic God should influence this forum?
By prayer? I´d say all sides pray as much and as fervent!
By bible studies? Which Christian does not do that?
By appeal to the pope / church council / preacher / whatever authority figure in your church? And who should be the highest authority?

That´s the problem: Christians are not united. The inter-Christians bickering I have seen here on this very site is worse than anything I have ever had adressed to me.


So it seems that the way to go is, erm, democratic... and such a way has to ensure that all voices are heard.

Can you direct me to the points in the mission statement which address the promotion of inequality, oppression of non-Christians and dictatorial rule by a few select members over a population who have no say in who is put into positions of power?

Actually, if you would look over most of the posts by the proponents of option #2, you'd see many of us were saying we'd be happy to keep the forums open. That's not what the problem is.

Yeah - but the problem on CF is that it was the Mods (all theoretically Christian) who were doing it.

In fact it was internal CF Mod recommendation that Mods have sock puppets to debate with. The problem was there were some extreme abuses of this where Mods used their socks to incite members and then have the Mod part ban them.

IMO this was disturbing policy.

You don't listen do you? You're looking for the answer you want rather than the answer that has been given at least a dozen times.

Just because the old system was abused by a (very few) number of people, doesn't mean it's a bad system, it just means it was abused. As the current system is ALREADY BEING ABUSED.

Wow. The Holocaust/Segregation/Apartheid argument AGAIN. I'm afraid the whole equality thing is getting rather boring, we've already explained what we mean at least a dozen times.

I didn't mention any of the things you're suggesting. I only mentioned inequality which was the hallmark of the former CF. The problem isn't that we don't understand what you mean. I think the biggest problem is that we do understand what you mean. It's just that how you want to present it and what it actually is are two distinctly different things. You either believe that equality is appropriate and moral or you don't. It would seem that you don't. So much for Christian values. They're great to talk about but unfortunately, many don't like them so much when asked to put them into practice.
