although i understand why you may see that...please keep an open mind...there are too many unanswered questions regarding the entire ordeal.

I am keeping an open mind, which is why I'm not jumping to conclusions. I'd only be comfortable speaking with any authority on the case after reading the full court transcript, rather than a bunch of second or third hand sources.

You should absolutely have access to pain control measures and other comfort measures. There probably is some disagreement whether they can be so comprehensive that you don't really care if you eat and drink or not. You should be offered food and water (even if you dump them out).

What if they put me on a drip though, I'd have no way of even starving myself!

Thing is, being forced to starve yourself, and refusing a drip, is a pretty gruesome way to go. I'd much prefer an injection.

I don't think that allowing people to kill each other is appropriate, and oppose it based on principal, not to mention the vast ability for such laws to be abused.
