  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you could be a rock star for a day, who would you be?

Hmmm... first one that comes to mind is Jimi Hendrix. I'd love to know what it feels like to be playing guitar like that.

Chutes Too Narrow is better. You don't know what you're missing :)

Yes! Actually quite a bit of it around Lexington, where I live.

Oh, and since I told you where I live, the answer to your obvious next question "can I stalk you" is no. I don't really have time for a stalker. I'm flattered, though.

nadroj,

You use the "other religion" icon here on CF. What exactly do you believe in at this stage in the game?

I'm still in a formative stage. I'm very interested in existentialist philosophy and Zen Buddhism, so I'm trying to find ways to integrate those two at the moment. But you might get a different answer out of me if you ask tomorrow :)

Dear Nadro,
What does your user name mean?
Sounds like a name of a wrestler.

Well, you've got to get it spelled right (nadroj) or you'll never get it ;) Now, spell it backwards.
